Alright guys. The rule of forward motion varies from casino to casino. It can range from how far you move your arm out to whether or not you actually place your chips down. Even if you place your chips down, it may have to placed beyond a certain boundary sometimes for it to be binding.
in the u.k most tables have a line, you can move your chips as you please and it means nothing untill you place them down over the line, some places have an extra rule stating you have to let go of the chips before they become active in the pot, eg if you move some chips over the line but dont let go, you can pull your chips back and think about your action a bit longer

Well, that's a hell of a fold. One may say Andy Black played that tourney conservatively, in the sense that he would not make that move with at least 10-J in that spot. And that's true. But, hey, go ahead and fold a set on tv if you can. Dwan's read was great. Of course it's a great lay down.

yep, i wrote that comment while being busy... it's effectively trips... But the "semi-pro", as you said, is in fact a semi-pro who made £1975 in cash tables for december only. Anyways, i'm glad you share my views regarding Dwan's fold. Many people underestimate him in "live" poker. but he's a hell of a player, i've rarely seen him losing money on televised poker. Although the rumor says he's kinda broke at the moment... regards

I understand most e-trolls and online self-proclaimed pros always say stuff like easy fold and thus get flamed or thumbed down, but in this case, it really isn't that hard. Andy Black is a fairly tight player, and the way he played the flop made it ridiculously obvious he had a ten.

I agree completely.... to be a successful high stakes poker player, you NEED to know your stuff.
Still that being said, that was a very impressive laydown, what with Durrr having established a very aggresive reputation. Gotta respect him for that.
