You guys obviously haven't tried CoCo Ichibanya curry rated 8,9,10 level on their "curry heat scale". It will blow your mind it is so spicy. And yes I have lived in Asia for the last 9 years... Thai/Viet food is definitely spicy, but sorry not as hot as Sichuan/Hunan/Hubei in China, and not as hot as the hottest rating levels of the Japanese curry.
This is the hottest at Japanese national chain restaurant CoCo... which is extremely mild by any heat aficionado's standards. Go to Thailand and order the hottest curry available and we'll see what's up.
