  • thats a lie ... thats not the only road linking Cameroon to Nigerea ...smh

  • still better roads than Polish

  • Is driving accross Africa dangerous?

  • @landarchitect1 Not really. It depends on how well you are prepared, how skilled you are as a traveller, and how respectful you are different cultures. It is a wonderful continent to visit.

  • when i saw him take out that shovel i was crying with laughter XDDDDDDDDDD

  • i wish ppl would stop referring to cameroon as a west african country lol. look at the map sheesh! anyway nice vid.

  • Great Stuff! Is the LC equipped with locking differential? I saw the ARB sticker on the front guard. IF it was, were you locking them and trying to pull out of that little situation you found yourself in?

  • @domeslacker Yes I did have a rear ARB locker and it was locked. However the vehicle was high centred and therefore the wheels were not touching the ground. A diff lock is no use in that case. The only way out is to dig!!

  • Why all that fighting with a shovel when you have a perfectly good winch...? Or don't you have a set of skids?

  • Wow very interesting video! Congrats on making your dream come true

  • Hello! This trip was really a great adventure! I hope to make a trip to Africa in the future. Meanwhile, I'll keep enjoying your adventures! Thank you for sharing them with us!

    Greetings from Brazil!

    P. S.: What would be the next video of the trip? Did you go to which country after Camaroon?

  • AFRICA FOREVER!!!

  • great video!!!

  • This is where all those "tough" car commercials should be made; not on some simulated "bad" road. lol

  • Most roads in Cameroon are in poor condition, vehicles are poorly maintained and badly driven, and road lighting is inadequate. Poor road conditions make it difficult to depart Cameroon via the land border with Gabon. Visitors to the Lake Chad area should report to local authorities on arrival. The local authorities advise visitors to engage a reliable guide due to the dangerous security situation.

  • Looks like a fun road to drive, Red Bull should do a race on it

  • whats in the LC, straight 6? Lovely sound

  • @HotHeadCJ

    Yes, indeed a lovely sound!

  • Obosinjo...'our god'....lol!

  • Obosinjo...Obasanjo?

  • It's not paved of course, but with an 80 series it'd like "highway"...

  • Great film! a wonderfull experiment i suppose! thanx a lot

  • Lucky it was not raining. the road would have probably been worse

  • @haytoo

you are absolutely right we were lucky. Check out the Cameroon Impassible video on the "Tale of two travellers"

website to see just how difficult the road is in wet weather.

    Tom

  • I believe that bfore one can characterize anything as worst, he/she MUST hav experience most or all other comparable units. When someone decide 2 post such a video abt a country like Cameroon, and labels it "worst road", it is not just insulting, but very annoying, especially 4 its citizens! Yes, our roads r not the best in the world and so? YOU did want 2 experience what it was like ryt? U r even given permission 2 watch a so-called "juju" ceremony, but u film it instead. See me balog oooo!!

  • @jan585 look at the words in the first video with a vehicle from your left. When the video is playing carefully read the words written you will see it.Thanks.

  • @jan585 Hello, If you look or carefully read the comments written on the video you will see ' this is the ONLY road that links Cameroon to Nigeria'. I considered it as an offense or insult 'cause anyone who writes anything for the public must be conscious of any word written. There's no room for mistake or excuse.

  • sorry but you get stuck with nothing 2:10

  • thought this was about a road????

  • It's EXTREMELY WRONG AND MANIPULATING to say that's the only road that links Cameroon to Nigeria. There are other roads(tarred roads). I have used them several times including some Nigerians and Cameroonians who cross and re-cross the border for visit and businesses. So it's your responsibility to find out the better roads rather than over exaggerating what is NOT true.

  • It's EXTREMELY WRONG AND MANIPULATING to say that's the only road that links Cameroon to Nigeria. There are other roads that are very better than this one(tarred roads). I have used them several times including some Nigerians and Cameroonians who cross

and re-cross the border for visit and businesses. So it's your responsibility to find out the better roads or you people decided to test your strength by choosing this road. So don't over exaggerate what is NOT true.

  • @ONELOVEONEWORLD4ALL That is very interesting, please tell me where there other border posts with better roads for vehicle traffic between Nigeria and Cameroon.

  • @geovalue There are other backcountry road but I know the Maiduguri one is tared. It is dangerous to travel at night but during the day it is OK. There are many villages on the road. I have done it on a moto and everything went fine. Go to Maroua. It is such a nice a relax city.

  • @ONELOVEONEWORLD4ALL Where do they say it's the ONLY road because i've seemed to have mised that in the video !

  • @ONELOVEONEWORLD4ALL Sure, there are better roads between Nigeria and Cameroon. But please, come on. We all know that Africa is a cruel, savage and non-functional. Look at that scary guy in the custom. The guys with the guns where there for "protection" of the guy with the scary suit. They think, africans that people actually can be cursed by a God. It would be best for all if all blacks returned to Africa and we let them be.

  • that can't be true. the only road linking Nigeria to Cameroon? there are much better roads linking Ghana to all her neighbors. hundreds of people travel to and from Nigeria, through Togo and Benin everyday. Burkina Faso lacks a sea port so some of their imports and exports are made though Ghana. there are so many business activities going on among west African nations ( Nigeria and Cameroon inclusive)i therefore find difficult to believe that there's no better road linking Nigeria to Cameroon

  • @MrRza7 This is the only road in the South. There is another road linking Nigeria and Cameroon in the North (via Maidiguri) of the country, but it is even more remote and difficult to get to. When we considered using that road we were advised not to since it is apparently dangerous country to travel through.

  • wonderful a life changing experence and yes good old landcruiser, i hope you had the time of your life and all was well

  • Great video work! Kudos!

  • im cameroonian, didnt knew that road was that bad,ok let me give a call and the problem will be solved.

  • @ndoss01 You must have a real problem. Shame!

  • Thank you for sharing, very nice clips but very short

  • Ain't this something!

  • WOW! *****
