I find it interesting that Mylène is so popular in Russia. When did this popularity begin? Obviously she wouldn't perform there if there was no market for her music. Frankly I'm a bit surprised she isn't more popular in French Canada.
@auggiedoggy She's almoust unknown in Canada at the same time she's a great star in Russia and parts of the ex-USSR (Ukraine etc.) Her popularity here began at the very beggining of the 90-s. After 2000 she became extremely popular. Her art and image fit greately Russian mentality. She was just condemned to be popular here. 22 000 persons in the venue (in this video) prove it, as the sales of her albums and videos in Russia.
