Joker is not coming back..voice actor said this was his last role as joker thats why Paul Dini the writer of Arkham City decided to KILL Joker for tribute of Mark Hamill's retirement..even the writer said "without Mark, I can't imagine other Joker.." but Harley is pregnant so maybe other kick ass voice actor would join next project

If any of you remember there are more than one clayface so the Joker could still be alive. If you are confused about the skeleton well thats because one of the claface's could make a skeleton. hmmmm...
But when bats drops the cure the Joker scrambles for it rather than just laughing at his rotten luck. We've established that Harley is pregnant so maybe he decided to live for the baby. To see it grow&... taught or something. Or maybe he decided he cared for Harley, her and the baby giving him something to live for (he's insane, who knows?)

At least Joker wont steal the show in the next game. It was only right for him to be the villain in Asylum (they made a Batman Begins game but not a Dark Knight one), I got kind of excited when I heard the Strange would be the main villain in this game, but then ultimately the final act of the game was centered on Joker. I really hope the next game is focused primarily on Scarecrow.

Am I the only one that sort of hears someone talking very silently in the background at some moments while hes singing? It was very very faint and I had to listen again several times to see if I really heard it ,but I swear I hear something there.
Even though the characters turned out very diferently I still keep thinking about all the stuff Heath sais in the dark knight when I think about the relationship between batman and joker.

The Joker could kill Batman many times... But He didn't. As Batman don't want to kill anybody, the Joker wants Batman to live, for ever and ever. In fact, without Batman, Joker has no reason to exist. And, in some way, vice versa. I think the last words of the Joker (Heath Ledger) in The Dark Knight are the truth of this weird connection between Good (Batman) and Evil (The Joker).
I just finished Arkham City. AA and AC are one of the best game experience of the decade, in my opinion. Sad end.
Comic book characters die all the time. Then they get this complicated story as to how they died and were brought back. In 2011 we saw Hal Jordan come back, The First Flash, and a few others as well. Captain Americas died like 50 times. Joker will be back, shoving Batman's face into dirt.
I think the next game will be Scarecrow's big return. Or something completely different. Was Azrael talking about the third game, or was he referencing Final Crisis?

Does anyone think the Joker might be back in the next arkham game? When batman had the cure before the explosion, it was in his left hand. Yet, when he wakes up, its in his right hand! Did someone swap the cure? Also, Clayface, who impersonated the joker as cured/sick, was knocked into the Lazarus pit before the explosion. Also, remember what Joker said about hiding a secret from batman, having it in plain sight? Could this be another trick?

This isn't just a game I cried over. The whole Joker, way back from the 40's...gone. The song made it even more horrible..how Joker actually sort of liked Batman. And Batman..he's gonna be in bed (whenever he actually has the time to sleep...which he will more often now that Joker is gone) will be up all night thinking "Why didn't I save him? Why did he die?" When I finished the main story, I thought "Joker can not be dead..." and then began to play this and I was really touched... Actually, I almost cried. People don't seem to understand the bond between a hero and their villain. They know each other better than anyone else in the world, and though one/both may try to kill the other, they each know that they really couldn't. You couldn't have one without the other; they're best friends in a sort of sick kind of way. I think Batman was truly upset, yes because he failed but also because a huge part of his life was suddenly gone. It's devastating losing a half of yourself. E.g. The movie Megamind.
Joker, you will be missed forever,,,you didn't deserve to die...I swear, if he didn't survive, and if that Joker wasn't a fake, I'm going to kill whoever came up with that idea. His gags, laughs and killing jokes will go down in history. :(

@RAVECRIB9t4 Yeah I know man, I'll miss Mark, still he is getting old it's gotta be putting some strain on his voice, and there is a very small percent chance that he will voice another Joker again...I can't remember where I heard it. But what I think is that he will voice a different Batman character, that would be so sick.

Out of what i would recommend was Firefly or Ventriloquist for pure fun XD

But when bats drops the cure the Joker scrambles for it rather than just laughing at his rotten luck. We've established that Harley is pregnant so maybe he decided to live for the baby. To see it grow&... taught or something. Or maybe he decided he cared for Harley, her and the baby giving him something to live for (he's insane, who knows?)

Huh... I wonder if he was singing this to both bats and Harley. Most depictions of the Joker (Dark Knight, Red Hood, in a few comics I hear he'll play Russian roulette with himself ) show him as uncaring for human life, even his own. Especially if it's bman's fault.

In Batman #1 I think, The joker falls on his own knife and sort of dies and then comes back to life. This message apparently says "you fell for it again Bats" As Batman thought he had died in the issue when he really hadn't.

At least Joker wont steal the show in the next game. It was only right for him to be the villain in Asylum (they made a Batman Begins game but not a Dark Knight one), I got kind of excited when I heard the Strange would be the main villain in this game, but then ultimately the final act of the game was centered on Joker. I really hope the next game is focused primarily on Scarecrow.

Even though the characters turned out very diferently I still keep thinking about all the stuff Heath sais in the dark knight when I think about the relationship between batman and joker.

If they do make a sequel to this, it should be about Terry Mcginnis and can have Bruce on the radio instead of Oracle, and villains like Inque and Shriek, and have Joker's child as the main villain who can also be voiced by Mark Hamil. Or a Larazus resurrected Joker. Either way, it will probably be awesome

The Joker could kill Batman many times... But He didn't. As Batman don't want to kill anybody, the Joker wants Batman to live, for ever and ever. In fact, without Batman, Joker has no reason to exist. And, in some way, vice versa. I think the last words of the Joker (Heath Ledger) in The Dark Knight are the truth of this weird connection between Good (Batman) and Evil (The Joker).
I just finished Arkham City. AA and AC are one of the best game experience of the decade, in my opinion. Sad end.

Comic book characters die all the time. Then they get this complicated story as to how they died and were brought back. In 2011 we saw Hal Jordan come back, The First Flash, and a few others as well. Captain Americas died like 50 times. Joker will be back, shoving Batman's face into dirt.

Does anyone think the Joker might be back in the next arkham game? When batman had the cure before the explosion, it was in his left hand. Yet, when he wakes up, its in his right hand! Did someone swap the cure? Also, Clayface, who impersonated the joker as cured/sick, was knocked into the Lazarus pit before the explosion. Also, remember what Joker said about hiding a secret from batman, having it in plain sight? Could this be another trick?

This isn't just a game I cried over. The whole Joker, way back from the 40's...gone. The song made it even more horrible..how Joker actually sort of liked Batman. And Batman..he's gonna be in bed (whenever he actually has the time to sleep...which he will more often now that Joker is gone) will be up all night thinking "Why didn't I save him? Why did he die?" And maybe one day he'll just slowly turn into somebody as crazy as Joker. It's just so sad....(I love the Joker so much!! <33)

When I finished the main story, I thought "Joker can not be dead..." and then began to play this and I was really touched... Actually, I almost cried. I have always had weakness for "bad guys" and Joker was my favourite. Rest in peace, our bad hero... PS. Can anybody tell me what will Batman do without his evil "other half"? It wont be the same again.

People don't seem to understand the bond between a hero and their villain. They know each other better than anyone else in the world, and though one/both may try to kill the other, they each know that they really couldn't. You couldn't have one without the other; they're best friends in a sort of sick kind of way. I think Batman was truly upset, yes because he failed but also because a huge part of his life was suddenly gone. It's devastating losing a half of yourself. E.g. The movie Megamind.
