does the sti still have problem with detecting ka band? at one time it would not detect a certain ka band frequency. i had an sti and got a ka ticket. it never even alerted me. sold it bought a v1. smooth sailing ever since.
Why did you turn it off? Do you live in VA or DC or Canada?
Also, he was perpendicular to the road. LEOs need to have their radar at atleast a 45degree angle to get an accurate reading, but that's the beauty of the STi...best offaxis detection when it comes to Ka. :)

Why would it matter if you turned it off. It's undetectable. Just turn the display off it you don't want it seen.
