Starcraft has Protoss, Zerg, and Humans. Protoss has shields, Covenant has shields. The Protoss essentially released the Zerg, which happens to be exactly like the Flood, which, guess what, the Covenant released. Guess who stops them all? The humans. Guess who the humans befriend? The Protoss, just like the humans befriending the covenant.

Again, huge, freaking, rip off. Go play Starcraft's story.

But I hate it when people bring up this argument as though Star craft invented the entire sci fi genre, when it clearly shows that Aliens, predator, and Star ship troopers heavily influenced the entire story and characters. Star craft is allright in its own right, but its hardly original. And Halo seems far more influenced by Aliens, half life, and system shock 1 and 2 than star craft.

Saving Xbox games to the 360 Hard Drive have no compatibility issues, it just saves it on it. And any game created by Microsoft Studios is going to work on the 360 for sure.
