Now with my car, it came with the winter package, power rear sunshade, 6 cd changer, lighting package and on top of all that they charge gas guzzlers tax and a bunch of other garbage so by the time I walked out it was 67,000 dollars. It's a C32, direct competitor to the E46 M3.

I've yet to see on YouTube a clip of a Carrera GT up against a comparable SUPERCAR i.e. Lambo Murcielago LP640, for example. I wonder if it would be so dominant in it's acceleration....
the LP640 is an insanely fast car... when Top Gear tested it, it got to 200 faster than a Zonda S, CC8S, and a CCX... it also does 0-60 about a half second faster than a Carrera GT... that said, depending on the type of circuit, the GT would probably win on one with a lot of turns... (like the Nürburgring)

SL 65 is real beast, I am still in love of its exhaust system so I never turn on radio or any music, I drove sl55 as well and there is no much difference between those cars IMHO except exhaust sound .......also my bad is that in my country roads are very poor so only on highway you can drive really fast

the second generation w220 from 03-06 have the same tail lights and no s-klasse even comes with a factory spoiler and has a full amg kit all the emblems the s65 rims and at 2:12 he has the s65 wheel which alone costs 1500-2000+ if your lucky i doubt anyone would put 15000-20000+ into an s600 to replicate an s65 it would be a waste of money the only option this s65 doesn't have is the alacantra headliner i know this because i have a 2002 s500 and am getting a 2006 s55 so ive really looked into it

I've yet to see on YouTube a clip of a Carrera GT up against a comparable SUPERCAR i.e. Lambo Murcielago LP640, for example. I wonder if it would be so dominant in it's acceleration....

the LP640 is an insanely fast car... when Top Gear tested it, it got to 200 faster than a Zonda S, CC8S, and a CCX... it also does 0-60 about a half second faster than a Carrera GT... that said, depending on the type of circuit, the GT would probably win on one with a lot of turns... (like the Nürburgring)

hm, the reason why I asked is that I own s65 so as sl65, also I had opportunity to drive cgt but never raced those cars between each other.....however the feeling among those cars are completely different.....sorry for ma eng....:)

The CGT seems to be a better car than the LP640... that's just what I've heard and it may not be true... how good is the handeling of the SL65?

SL 65 is real beast, I am still in love of its exhaust system so I never turn on radio or any music, I drove sl55 as well and there is no much difference between those cars IMHO except exhaust sound .......also my bad is that in my country roads are very poor so only on highway you can drive really fast

He said that it had a ton of grip (thanks to AWD), but when you reach the limit, it's off... from what I got is that it corners really well, but all hell breaks loose when you overdo it... He was just showing what happens when you lose control of it... If it didn't corner well, it could not have tied the Carrera GT which is one of the best cornering cars in the world.

the second generation w220 from 03-06 have the same tail lights and no s-klasse even comes with a factory spoiler and has a full amg kit all the emblems the s65 rims and at 2:12 he has the s65 wheel which alone costs 1500-2000+ if your lucky i doubt anyone would put 15000-20000+ into an s600 to replicate an s65 it would be a waste of money the only option this s65 doesn't have is the alacantra headliner i know this because i have a 2002 s500 and am getting a 2006 s55 so ive really looked into it

It has the alcantara headliner. S600 and S65 has it standard, along with the wood grab handles and wood cover near the SOS button and map light area.

the s65 is v12 with 604 hp, the cgt is 605hp with v10. if the cgt was v12 it would go from a 5.7 V10 to a 6.9l V12, which would give it an extra 121 hp so 605+121=726hp. Overall if they had equal size engines, CGT would conquer. haha now if the CCX competed with the veyron, v8 vs w16, rofl 806*2 is 1612hp, pwns the veryon...

tons of car noobs, the carrera gt would beat the s65 or wutever it is. its not always about power. the carrera gt is engineered after the carrera gt one race car. way lighter, racing engine duh... MB's are way heavier cuz they are luxury type cars. Go take some classes. P/W ratio is greater than all power. the p/w ratio on the CGT is 5 lbs/hp, where as the new s65 amg's p/w ratio is more than 8 lbs/hp (i think it is more).

lol this is not the new s 65, its an older version! only the new 6.5L engine by amg got more than 600 hp. so there is no way for that merc to "smoke the porsche" like you say 1234ButtSex.

strongest renntech s65 is 695 hp... and not almost 800. with a weight of 2250+kg. means less than 0,31 hp/kg. carrera gt: more than 0,44 hp/kg. (about 142% of the s65) so please tell me... where do you see the s65 touching the carrera gt in acceleration??

Carrera GT: 0-60 in around 3.6 sec. S65 Renntech: 700hp 0-60 in less than 4sec. Plain & simple. Thats where they match in acceleration.

rennteck cl65 does 0-100 (kmh) in 4.2sec... s65 is heavier so there is no way to be faster cause its the same engine tuning. so its a diference of more than 0.6 sec. => no way a close race. plain & simple.
