  • Where can u find fleece?

  • wats fleece?

  • @thtsabadkitteh Its a really soft Piece of fabric or a blanket. Guinea pigs love it and it is recommended because it makes your guinea pigs warm. it is one type of blanket that doesn't stick to your piggys feet. (:

Your videos helped me A LOT cause back then I didn't really know about C&C cages. So thank you so much for making these videos even though you don't make them anymore =) but thanks they helped a lot.

  • @TheRandomHugs I just got a guinea pig!!!! i know how u felt/feel

  • howd you make the cage and if you bought it where did you buy it??

  • Ive never heard of doing it that way when i go petshops i never seen that... Is this your own stuff or do you buy it like bedding products, maybe they dont do this in england then.

  • I never thought of the binder clips! awsome idea!

  • Shutup Thecarsys she did a great job I'm going to do wat she did wit my G-pig thanx for teaching me girl or sorrry do not know ur name

  • Very nice video, but that is not the practical way to set up a fleece bedding system. It would never work for 2 full grown guinea pigs unless you changed it out every single day. The problem with doing fleece is that you have to research it a lot because there is a lot of advice out there and it's really hard to make it work. Fleece bedding is truly great only if you can make it work. Otherwise, a mix of carefresh/pine shavings is the only way to go.

  • what kind of cage is tht ? iwanna by 1 like that dont know were to find or what they caleed

  • Hello, how don't you know how to wash the fleece? lol

  • @joscie82481

It really depends on how large your cage is and how many rabbits/pigs you have. Both, I believe, are equally smelly and difficult to take care of (if you're taking care of them properly.) Espicially since rabbits let a pellet go everytime they take a step ;)

  • @iPiggy2288

My rabbit lives free range on my dining room floor, he is *perfectly* litter trained, and did it himself. No matter how hard I try, I cannot litter train my pigs. They are not friendly, they do not come up for food. They just poop, constantly. I have to clean the cage every single day, otherwise they are just walking on poop all the time.

I still like the piggies but, after my 2 little fellas pass on, I don't think I will get more again.

  • @joscie82481 well, i have a rabbit in a c+c cage and as long as i clean the cage everyday, the cage stays clean, healthy, and smells good. i also had 2 guinea pigs and personally, i find they pee and poo pretty much the same. it is really easier if you litter train your pets-it makes cleaning easier and you dont have to worry as much about accidents. children in my mind shouldnt get their own pet if they are too young, it should be considered a family pet. its up to the parents to get the pet

  • @RabbitTips101 Excuse me I am not a child and my daughter had 2 guinea pigs, watch you mouth for gods sake.

  • @joscie82481 im not trying to sound rude im just saying that if children are too young, like the age of 4 they should not get their own pet because they will not be able to provide the proper care. i am agreeing with you that guinea pigs along with any other animal are not easy pets to look after and children should not jump into the choice of owning 1.

  • @joscie82481 I have had both rabbits and guinea pigs and have always found guinea pigs to be the animal with no odour. When both are kept clean, I find rabbits still have a very characteristic odour (kind of musky almost) while I find guinea pigs don't smell at all, only the hay smells and it's a good smell. Also, guinea pigs can be toilet-trained just like rabbits.

  • @joscie82481 no guniea pigs are a way much better choice than a dumb rabbit you just dont know how to take care of a guniea pig because i have two of them and they have good bedding and health not just a towl or balnket .

  • @ratsister4 Rabbits arnt dumb they ae just faster and quiet a bit more cuious and still arnt exactly tame but no need to callthem dumb

  • Thanks!! I've been thinking about using fleece lining for our new pigs. It's good to see the layers & how it all works.

  • Thanks for uploading this video, I've recently thought about getting a guinea pig as my First pet :)

  • Hey what size is the cage, like length and width?

  • my guinea pig has a certain place were he uses the bathroom to

  • bunnies and guinea pigs are like little poop machines XD

  • 8 people who where drunk missed the like button

  • are they nosiy pets? i really want one

  • @gymnatics2

    very noisey :P

  • Hey how did you build the cage and/or where did you buy it from?

  • i was thinking of using this method instead of the usual bedding. it is quite costly. but hm, do you know if it HAS to be fleece? and why fleece? haha (:

  • @westlifelover92 I use fleece and it only cost about $4 per yard. In the long run, it's much less expensive than having to buy bags and bags of bedding and changing it all the time. If you have a couple pieces of it, you can use one while the other is in the wash. The reason for fleece is that it is not absorbent. Instead, it wicks the moisture (pee) down through and keeps the top relatively dry.

  • I really want a guinea pig, and have been obsessing over them for 5 years! I'm not allowed a pet though because we don't own the house my family lives in.

  • This really helped me know how to clean my pig's cage! Thanks so much!!

  • you really helped me

  • thank you

  • i like ur voice

  • where did you get the coraplast

  • your really smart, i love the clipping idea so the fleece doesn't fall.

by the way, where'd you buy the fleece from?

  • not to be noisey but how old are you?( im turning 11 and getting a piggey gor my bday)

  • I have a question.

    My coroplast wasn't long

enough to make walls. So, is it okay if I kept

it flat? I don't use bedding except for in their litter pan.

I clipped the fleece to the cage so they couldn't pull it out.

Is that okay? Also, how often should I clean the cage?

  • Love the cage

  • were did u get ur coroplast. iv looked every were plz help me.

  • @WebkinzLover9494 lol thanks! i think it looked kinda bad... lol but still thanks ^.^

  • does the fleece get gross when they pee on it? How often do you clean your cage?

  • @mIsSsaLysSa the fleece stays dry, the towels are kinda icky. i clean mine 1/2 times a week but it depends on how many pigs you have and how big your cage is.

  • Where did u get the tunnel thing?? My guinea dosnt really like the igloo i got her and was thinking about getting her something like that.. Please respond soon.

    Thanks

  • @bwbackflip i think i got the tunnel at petco or walmart or petsmart.. i can't remember lol.

  • what do u use for a stand??? PLEASE RESPOND I NEED TO KNOW BY SUNDAY BECAUSE IM MOVING MY CAGE IN MY BEDROOM THEN.

  • @bwbackflip I used a big plastic table.

  • can you use fleece in a cage in a shed??? my piggies have half the shed which is biggg and i use fleece is it ok??? :)

  • @TheChunkymonkey98 yeah that sounds fine. just make sure the shed has plenty of ventilation and isnt to hot and stuffy for your piggers.

  • do you think it would be safe to put guinea pigs in a bathtub with towels on the bottom when ur cleaning the cage?

  • @imanijade10 yes, just make sure there arent any shampoo bottles or anything that could fall on them. and be sure their feet can't get stuck in the drain.

  • @imanijade10 yes, just make sure there arent any shampoo bottles or anything that could fall on them. and be sure their feet can't get stuck in the drain.

  • @imanijade10 to avoid getting their foot gettin caught on the drain use a ceramic bowl faced upside down (human kind)

  • I would like to make a c&c cage do you know where I can buy all that stuff (i live in england). I just bought a cage from a pet store and layer it with fleece.

  • Wow! Great!!!

I am very grateful that I saw this!

Because I am getting a cage soon.

Should I do fleece or bedding like care-fresh

  • @nilcole1999 dont feel stupid but really ill try and make a vid for ya ;)

  • @nilcole1999 i dont make em i favorite them ahaha you thought those were mine?

  • @nilcole1999 well i dont own guinea pigs since i am some how alergic to it but my friend does and they are the only guinea pigs so ill try with his we are about to get a c&c cage for them and give them more space so yea ill see

  • @nilcole1999 no prob

  • @nilcole1999 those cages are called c&c cages whic is best explained through this video please type in C&C Guinea Pig Cage 2x3x3 Large 3-Level Colonial Open-Top w Storage and click the one thats by BlueStoneCages it tells every thing about it that youll need to know

  • can you hand wash it or at least let it sit in water?

  • i want a guinea pig but my dad says there rodents!

  • i thinking abt using fleece but have nowhere to tuck it all in beause my guinea's have a hutch!! what other method would you reccommend?? :)

  • I don't really think you need newspaper under towels under fleece... a little to much. How about 1 layer of newspaper or one layer of towels under fleece? Cause that's a little crazy!

  • I subscribed! :)

LUV thhe video! I might get a pyggy soon1

  • i'v got 2 guinea pigs called roket and comet

  • Great video! :D

  • thx for helping

  • can u use cloth? plz reply

  • no, cloth doesn't work like fleece does, and it doesn't absorb as well.

  • What about if they pee on the fleece i know you can just washed but i know you wouldn't wash it every time

  • you wash the fleece only whenever you changed the cage. them "going" is inevitable, so there's no point in changing it every time. Good luck!

  • I noticed you had a crinkle tunnel for your guinea pigs. I've been thinking about getting some for my cages but I wasn't sure if they'd like them. They enjoy there tunnels they have now but they don't make any noise.

  • where did u get ur cage? plz reply.

  • They are called C&C gages .

Guinea Pigs love them because there is tons of room for them instead of being in the cramped cages that pet stores sell .

You can either build your own or look them up on ebay , craigslist , exc .

    Hope this helped . (:

  • how many times a week do you clean your cage?

  • You should do a full cleaning of your cage at least once a week . Most people clean their cages when it starts to smell or look sloppy . You should remove the poop and trash from the cage twice a day , and refill the water . Also , when cleaning use 1/2 bottle of water and 1/2 vineager .

    Hope this helped . (:

  • which one would you recommend Wood chip bedding or fleece??

  • Fleece , it's much easier to clean , although it can be a bit more expensive . When using wood chips , you make a mess and have to throw a lot out . You can wash and reuse fleece .

  • how to wash the fleece? i read from the internet that brand new fleece need to be washed three or four time before using it. but what after the second time? do i need to wash it thrice before using it again?

  • @63853064

Yeah, wash it t2-3 times when you first get it, that helps it wick moisture. But after that just wash it once everytime. Just remember not to use fabric softener or dryer sheets.

  • how often do you need to clean the cage that is layered with fleece?

  • At least once a week .

  • plz make a vid about tucking it in cause i want 2 know how

  • how do you stop the fleese from smelling i used fleese and the next day the cage was reallt badly smelling. xxxnicxxx1

  • First put newspaper or puppy pads under the fleece . On top of the newspaper you could put a deoderizer or something made for guinea pigs . Then lay a towel over that and the fleece on top . Still , it shouldn't stink . Did you wash it three times with a cup of white vineager and water before you used it ?

  • I would absolutely totally enjoy a video all about fleece tucking!

  • I LOVE all your videos! They're so helpful and I have two piggies of my own (Poppi and Ri) and I have gotten great ideas from you!! When I get some videos up check them out!!

  • cool vid. i need to know cause i just got a c&c cage!!!!

  • Thanx for the reply! Useful to know even though i don't have guinea pigs, building up my knowledge for when i do get some (just gotta persuade my mum first)

  • just wondering if when you spray the cage with cage flea spay or disinfectant, do you just wipe it off afterwards or does it soak into the chloroplast. Also how often do you spray it.

  • I spray it everytime I clean the cage (except that time, obviously) and I usually spray it then wike it with a paper towel. And always be sure it's non-toxic cleaner.

  • u know when u put the fleece on, do u HAVE to put a towel under coz i don't really want to put a towel under a fleece.

  • You don't have to use a towel, you can use puppy pads or really anything that will absorb urine.

  • I might use puppy pads. Is there anything else maybe?

  • Im about to adopt my friends guinea pigs, Cinnimon and Chocolate, but I have to wait for a week more...Why a week?

  • are those easy to move?also so u dont have to potty train them just because you you use the fleece?comment plz because i usullay use store bought cages so i have no idea

  • nice video! thanks so much!

  • now i now how to clean a cage thank you =D

  • ***how often?

  • It depends on how many pigs you have and the size of the cage.

  • kewl cage! u posted this vid n my bday hehe!

  • I have to cages for my pig Jr. well i have a plain ordinary one and a cc@c cage but i dont have any thing on the bottom its ok its actully not so messy =)

  • where did you get the cage?

  • Please don't use a wheel for guinea pigs. It bends their spines the wrong way and can cause undo-able damage to their systems. Better methods of excercise are floortime, tricks, ect =]

  • i am sorry to hear that

  • where do u get the connecting grids?i cant find them anywere, but i did find the fleece

  • thank you helps alot!!!

  • What is that white thing on top of the cage? Like a white box under the news paper\???

  • were can i get fleece?

  • Walmart also carries fleece

  • do dey pee in the hay area or do they pee lyk all over the fleece thing??

  • Where did you buy the fleece at and how much?

  • I bought it from Walgreens and IDK how much it was but it wan't to expensive =D

  • It is a good thought. I served as a reference. Cleaning was great, but cleaning is simple so far when it is the method of this animation. I try it. Thank you.❤

  • cool!

  • thx

  • y do guniea pigs poop alot

  • Well that's like asking why humans breathe air, lol. It's just their nature.

  • I have a question, the cube things on the side of the cage, what are they called and where can you buy them?
