  • Couldn't agree more, Trevor!

  • he makes me laugh more than i should (':

  • "Driven white snow"??? Could this be a reaction to Rufus Dinner at Eight?

  • no.

  • Well, considering that this song comes off the album 'Unrequited' which was released in 1975... :P Lol imagine if Loudon had really written this song as a response to Dinner at Eight, that's such a scary thought!

  • No - this song was written way before that

  • Is this recorded in the glorious City of Glasgow Scotland

  • This was indeed recorded in Glasgow, at The Old Fruit Market.

In 1995, Loudon was given his very own show on the BBC called 'Loudon & Co'. It was 5 nightly 40 minute shows. Each week Loudon would bound on stage, say 'hi' and sing a song.

After that song, that was all you got of Loudon (music wise). The rest of the show was spent hopping around like Kermit in the Muppets, introducing various guests such as John Hall, Iris DeMent etc. On the last show, he got to sing two songs (gasp).

  • Some time back I was enlightened to the wit and wisdom of L.W.III., good for me.

  • This guy 'kept me alive' during my mid to late teens and twenties. An amazing ability to tackle difficult subjects by adding humour. Anybody seen the 'The man who couldn't cry' video too? God!! Just listen to the ignorant unappreciative audience. I'm amazed he even bothered to perform at times!!

    Best regards all.

    Trevor

  • No-one beats Loudon at his best

  • Classic Wainwright.!
