ebm ist meist weicher und weniger aggressiver als industrial. blutengel beispielsweise sind wachsweicher ebm; mit sanftem beat, tragenden melodien und "clean voices".

auf der anderen seite erkennt man i. an den maschinellen, hämmernden und für manche menschen unangenehmen klängen. außerdem findet man fast keine vocals, außer manchmal auf filmen eingespielte zitate.

AP würde ich als aggrotech bezeichnen, ein zwischengenre.
