@agwoodliffe Pretty much in the 1st resident evil game wesker was the leader of Racoon citie's special forces called "stars" and a double agent working for umbrella. Wesker was given a mission to lure the star's members to a mansion filled with zombies and monster during an investigation and record the combat data of the stars member against the monsters, but he decided to double cross umbrella by selling the information after the mission. Chris and Jill got to close to his plans and foiled it.

I got to the end and thought "the explosive bow gun arrows would be great right now!". I left them with Claire because I thought she would need them. Talk about a pain in the butt. I was told in the walkthroughs not to use the grenade launcher, but I kept dying. Finally I used the grenade launcher, stood in the left-hand corner, and launched rockets like crazy. I killed her without using any health. This game is a pain in the butt!!!

Those of you puzzled about the storyline, just Google search "Resident Evil wiki"...it will take you right to the wiki site for RE, and there you can read up on all the characters and how who came to be where and why (albeit with spoilers).

I loved this game; As a stand-alone it would be confusing as Hell, but in the RE cannon it's one of the best-written games in the series.

I for one was glad for the formula change. Seeing as how I have been playing catch up by playing through all the RE's(I'm on part 4 now). I find it fun to play and the controls are awesome. As for Leon being the gayest character... That is true but only for part two. I think he's pretty bad ass in part four.

And a series should never go through a "formula change" if the fundamentals get compromised: end things on a high note, rather than on a low note that involves titles that use name popularity to reel in customers.

Unfortunately, Capcom was not above doing this and the series suffers while we have gamers thinking mutants on motorcycles is what makes Resident Evil what it is.
