is it possible to put two different cooling systems in a pc to cool to sides of it, say like one side would be cpu memory and north south bridge, with the other straight cooling for the graphics, harddrive
How much does this cost and is it better than the Corsair H100 price over performance wise because I'm only going to be overclocking the i5-2500k to 4.5ghz.
I'm thinking Alphacool Cape Cora HF 642 Konvekt. Not for overclocking, just silent and cool as possible, just a Core i7-2600(95watt), no overclock. Would it work nicely? And what if I used only 3 out of 6 modules of that Cape Cora? I would consider a XSPC Passive Aluminium Reservoir for good measure, just to cool it that bit extra.

And is there an easy way to just chill the water in the reservoir?
Hey, I am going to watercool my i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz with a XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 in my 650D. I will also be modding the front of the case to mount a front 200mm for the next gpu line up from nvidia (GTX 700 series).
@AlexBrodammit If you are going to run the CPU at stock then yes it is enough, but if you are planning on over-clocking then its definitely not enough.
@IMxLEGITxBEAST if your not overclocking then you need 120mm of radiator per part, so for 2 GPU's and a CPU then a triple will be fine but if your overclocking your cpu like hell then a triple will be enough with one card if you want good temps
If i've got two radiators (both different eg. ones EK and the other one is XSPC) how do i know what tube will fit I could get the same rad but the second one im looking at is thick and im not sure if I can use the same tubing. (I am using a watercooling kit and planning on adding another pump and radiator). both rads a 1/4 thread size is that anything to do with it?
@videomasters2468 You never need multiple res in the same loop. Only needed in multiple loops. Have a look at the Singularity Beast Upgrade series on my channel to see a dual loop system for some inspiration. I will be finishing this guide soon. I haven't built any water-cooled systems for a while so have been unable to finish this guide.
@aonub Performance PC's is the best shop I have found in the world for Water-cooling and Modding. You are lucky because its in the states, I have to order parts all the way out to Australia.
@xRevelations1 There are a lot of good fan controllers to choose from. It just depends on a whole lot of things. How many fans do you need to control? what will suit your case and build? Currently in my build I use the Zalman ZM-MFC3 and the Skythe Server. Anything from Skythe or Lamptron is always good and gives you plenty of options. Check out the Lamptron FC-5 V2, lots of color options etc.
@MasterSam85 Yeah I know, was going to mention it but it complicates things too much for beginners. Instead of mentioning pressure I just said to consider the amount of components per pump. Also generally higher flow rate means higher pressure. Yep its a Danger Den Waterbox.
@KINGhotaru11 Yes to some extent. I mean I use all different brands because I pick what I think is the best from each company. You will never get one company that makes everything the best. So I normally use EK waterblocks, Bitspower fittings and Reservoirs, Feser tubing and coolant. You just have to keep an eye on the specs to make sure its all compatible.
Amazing video. I can't wait to see the rest of the series. I wasn't sure if I was going to go with water cooling, but if all you videos are as in depth as this one then I'll be glad to make the jump. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
@BMJS911 The next video is coming up very soon. I am going to talk about design and how all the parts go together. Then the one after that will be once I have all the parts and am ready to begin building, so showing exactly what hardware I am going to be using. Then I will show each step of the build process in another video. Then the final two videos will be filling the system with coolant and then performance results and temperatures. I just hope to help out as many people as I can.
I appreciate any comments and feedback. If anyone wants to add something that they think is important that I might have missed, go right ahead and put it in the comments. Also feel free to ask any questions that you may have, right here. I will keep an eye on the comments and help you out where needed.
is a triple rad + a single rad with about 12fpi with gelid 120mm wings good enough for a i7 2600k and a 7950 (not overclocked yet) ?
oh its in a corsair 800d

Would a radiator with 2x120mm fans and 30 FPI be good for overclocking an i7?
E1337Hacks 1 month ago
@E1337Hacks No not if you want to actually get somewhere with your overclocking. You really need a 360mm radiator.

Would one Triple Radiator be able to cool a CPU and GPU?
IMxLEGITxBEAST 3 months ago 3
@IMxLEGITxBEAST It depends on the CPU and GPU and if you intend on overclocking, it also depends on your ambient temperature.

Is there any reason to use compression fittings rather than barbs other than looks?
depravedone 5 months ago
@depravedone Depending on the quality of the compression fitting, they hold better and can take more pressure, which means less risk of leaks.

Nice vid for beginners !
- IMO you forgot to mention pressure (metre H2O) when chosing a pump : flow rate does not make it all !
- Is that a Danger Den or Phobya "case" holding 3 triple rads in the end ?
Thanks, i'm moving to your next episode :D
