I've had the pleasure of knowing her for a while and spending the 4th of July with her one year. She's a dear sweet woman. She's beautiful inside and out.
I HATE that 4 word expression "when she was young" . That actress looked great "when she was young", that actor was soo handsome "when he was young" or wasn't she so cute "when she was young". It's like, it's a crime in this country to dare pass 40 - and just for the record I think Carol Linley looks great and has always been one of my favorite actresses.
Did anyone else ever pick up on the fact that Carol Lynley always spoke in a voice that sounded as if she were taking a deep breath. There is something unique about her voice that intrigues me. I can't quite put my finger on it.
That is not kind. She looks wonderful. And she is dignified in that she did not spend her life on Egoism, and accepted age as a part of life. She is not a phony. That business is phony. And, she apparently isn't. She is beautiful.
See "Bunny Lake is Missing" and you can see she looks very much the same. Just older. She is cute as can be. An American treasure.
@sohooded She has aged normally. Most celebrities you see have had tens of thousands of work by now. She opted to go natural. And is probably a happier person for it.
Thanks to my mom being a fan I have loved Roddy since I was seven and saw Planet Of The Apes! I fell hard for him as Galen. Every morning I had cereal and juice out of my POTA bowl and cup! I found them when my mom died a few years ago. Mom kept them faded and cracked as they were. I wish I had met this amazing man.
The show I think you're talking about is The Twilight Zone, season 1 called The After Hours. That actress was actually Anne Francis not Carol Lynley. They both looked a like. Anyway it was about a woman who buys a thimble on the ninth floor of a department store and later discovers the floor doesn't exist, then makes a startling discovery after the store closes, that she's actually mannequin and her allotted time as a human was up. It was a good episode.
Certainly the talented Miss Lynley has aged....we all do. But to me she is still beautiful. A truly underated actress. I've had a crush on her as LONG as I can remember. Thank you so much for sharing this interview for many fans to enjoy. :)
What a shame you consider ageing to be a tragedy. I work with Alzheimer patients and WE ALL get older. What an insensitive comment. Would you make this same kind of comment to your mother after she turned a certain age? You are an idiot.
can't believe that's her considering how good looking she was. other than posing for playboy, this lady was a classic role model and blessed with beauty and talent. I hate hugh hefner for contributing to the decay of moral fabric of this society. please burn in hell.

I'm not bragging, Boasting, I guess I AM!
I felt it when I saw Haley Mills!
Saw the lines on her face, thought we'd grown up together. Were the same age. Checked and found I am older
