USA uses mostly air, Land and some ships in europe while at the pacific it uses its aircraft carriers, battleships, submarines, air assets and land forces in the their leap-frog warfare- from islands to islands. USA have more difficulty in the pacific campaign because of the sea unlike in europe that is almost landlock.

This by pointing out that over 1 million men and equiptment were stationed in eastern Siberia whit another 40 divisions in reserve until winter 1941. These were LARGE amount of resources, even for the USS and although they were slightly used in the war, they were on guard when they coud have been used on the eastern front.

@withforte its called self defense, France and great Britain invaded Germany. The atomic bomb was technically first invented by two German Jews who later migrated to great Britain, who built the bomb with US resources when they joined the war.
We did do 90% of the heavy lifting in the Pacific, supply the USSR, England and the European Resistance with weapons and maintain the OSS you know. Without the Lend Lease Plan England would have been dead in the water after their loss at Dunkirk, and without us supplying the Resistance all throughout Europe with OSS men and supplies then the war would have ended with all likelihood in an uneasy draw between Russia and Nazi Europe, with the Japanese still controlling the Pacific.

While the Tsarist russian military and fleet suffered from low moral, old equipment and poor training, the Soviets had actually a quite decent army. Their campaign aginst the Japanese in Manchuria is one of the most succsessful ones in history. Check it out.

It's an oversimplification to state "USSR unilaterally disannounced its pact with Japan on the 5th of April 1945". It was in agreement with the western powers or "little allies" (as J. V. Stalin called them) that they help the Soviet Union out in Europe and after that the USSR would help them in Asia. And Japan and already attacked the USSR twice in WW2 and was still occupying Slavic lands in the form of islands in the north Pacific.

So what you are saying now is that WW2 wasn't in fact a "world" war but only a European conflict and thus, any battles the USSR had outside of Europe weren't part of WW2 and thus, (back to your original comment) Japan never fired a shot against the USSR in WW2? They DID NOT fought the combined Axis powers of Germany, Italy and Japan AT THE SAME TIME.
When USSR go to war with Japan, war with Germany and Italy was over. (YOU CAN NEVER CLAIM THEY FOUGHT BOTH THEATERS AT THE SAME TIME)
USA fought the Axis powers in both theaters AT THE SAME TIME.

Correct, USA fought the Axis simultaneously at the pacific war and at the european war. USA uses mostly air, Land and some ships in europe while at the pacific it uses its aircraft carriers, battleships, submarines, air assets and land forces in the their leap-frog warfare- from islands to islands. USA have more difficulty in the pacific campaign because of the sea unlike in europe that is almost landlock.

@Anubayan7 Well in terms of strategy and resources the USSR did fight all of the Axis powers at the same time and an Italian army did fight in the USSR to say the least. This by pointing out that over 1 million men and equiptment were stationed in eastern Siberia whit another 40 divisions in reserve until winter 1941. These were LARGE amount of resources, even for the USS and although they were slightly used in the war, they were on guard when they coud have been used on the eastern front.

Stalin was not in the position to have any resources tied up in Siberia.
Moscow was saved at the last moment by troops transfer from Siberia.
Stalingrad was saved by Stalin by throwing fresh troops into the battle faster that Germans could kill them.
Japan didn't use ANY of it's resources against USSR ANY TIME as long as USSR was fighting Germany.

@tyskbulle Strategy? By putting an army on GUARD is different from pushing for an OFFENSIVE. In a offensive you will need even more resources (In terms of ammunition, food, fuel, more air power had to be allocated, etc etc.)
GUARDING your front is different from LAUNCHING an ATTACK.
Stalin made a promise to Roosevelt at the Yalta Conference that Russia will enter the Pacific War no later than 3 months after Germany was defeated.
It only means USSR was not at war with 3 axis AT THE SAME TIME

We did do 90% of the heavy lifting in the Pacific, supply the USSR, England and the European Resistance with weapons and maintain the OSS you know. Without the Lend Lease Plan England would have been dead in the water after their loss at Dunkirk, and without us supplying the Resistance all throughout Europe with OSS men and supplies then the war would have ended with all likelihood in an uneasy draw between Russia and Nazi Europe, with the Japanese still controlling the Pacific.

Then what would have happened? I doubt that the Soviets would have been able to take on the full Imperial Japanese Army after sustaining such horrific losses in Europe. That is, if they had won there at all, without American, British, Free French and Canadian troops tying up the Nazi armies in Western Europe, Italy, and North Africa.
