  • This is not only a song to me, it's a feeling.

  • That awkward moment when you realize you were born in the wrong generation

  • John Lennon on drums?

  • @TheLonesomeChef Nope. Yoko Ono.

  • @greasegun49 she only dream she could play

  • @morearty1 To the best of my very limited knowledge, Yoko did nothing for John. Or anybody. Or anything. But what do we really know? Not right to knock people we don't even know, right? But yeah, she always had that "Do not disturb" look about her. The drummer here definitely bears a resemblance to Lennon, I think. Or Yoko...dreaming!

  • If only the drummer had a dopey hat...Oh wait, never mind...

  • Went to the movie theater in 69 to see Easy Rider when it first came out. Awesome!!

  • lupi de stepa ... misto piesa.

  • Here is a trivia Question. Can you name the only three--45 RPM records ever produced in which the songs on both sides of the record eventually became the #1 single on the "BillBoard Charts." Name the song Titles, & who recorded them (Hint-Beatles, & Elvis are two)??

    Answer:

    1. "Hound Dog"/"Don' be Cruel"-Elvis

    2. "Elenor Rigby"/"Yellow Submarine-Beatles

    3. "Born to Be Wild"/"Magic Carpet Ride"-Steppenwolf

Keep this in the back of your mind--It'll come in handy some day!!

  • @1988Goldwinger YEP Heavy Metal Thunder ..

  • @1988Goldwinger

    I'm from Australia.

    When I was a kid I had a 45 rpm single.

    It was by The Beatles.

One side was "Hey Jude" the other was "Revolution".

Maybe the single wasn't released in the same format in other countries?

Surely both songs went #1 on Billboard??

  • @1988Goldwinger I guess you just used up your day.

  • GAAAAAZZZZZ !!!!

  • When you type "Born to" it should automatically take you to Steppenwolf.

  • 4000000 views!!!Keep up rockin'!

  • Love it , but why the religious pop up, get real,

  • Music we can understand long live the sixties

  • Possibly the best Canadian band ever?

  • @wmacisaac The Guess Who were much better in my opinion.

  • @sporting06 Who?

  • This was when music was music! Not the crap we have today.

  • @GaryFishFx True! Not the crap like dup step and shit we have today.

  • @GaryFishFx I was just thinkin' the same thing!

  • @GaryFishFx i certify a wholly

  • @GaryFishFx so true

  • @GaryFishFx this was crap in 1969

  • 109 persons listen to "Justin Bieber" .-)

  • Back in the past music was made. Nowadays pop you know. So even though born in the wrong Era I really enjoy the oldies were people didn't knew of auto-tune and didn't sing songs just related to sex. It's good to be able to take these steps back in time and enjoy ourself.

  • @livedandletdie Take a trip to finnish rock festival Get to know people and have fun. I promise to you they wont make you listen Lady Gaga or anything like that. Also I have found lots of good german bands and some polish and hungarian ones.Japan has also good bands. Stuff that reminds me about this. Also I have learned to love some local middle eastern bands. So try to get to know people all over the world and listen what they listen. Be open to new music and It will suprise you.

  • @NSA666999 i hope you're kidding, right?

  • @NSA666999 Ok, so let's think about this for a minute. This recording of this song was recorded in 1969, as it says in the title. This Bieber you speak of was born March 1, 1994. (I looked it up.) Now, does that tiny ounce of common sens that I know you have somewhere inside your brain see any problem with your claim? If not, if I were you, I would go find professional help.

  • JUST LOVE THIS SHIT

  • love the song, the drummer looks like he is wearing a lampshade

  • Far out. Dig the leather pants and belt on John Kay a la Jim Morrison. Anyone else out there listen to this song 40,000 times?

  • @no10851pc this makes 40,000 and 1.

I'm saying that this is the song in which the PHRASE Heavy Metal

  • @shurdi3 Oh, okay men. Sorry, I misunderstood. It's just that when i say the phrase in my head it sound really diferent haha.

  • @elmatapollos69 Yes, but this is indeed the first song that uses the PHRASE heavy metal

  • This was my theme song in the 80s

  • I'm 17 years old, i've hear Hinder version, but this is much better than the other version. But same, i like twice.

  • @Treiken44 Can never beat the original!

  • @Obamaistoast2012 Sure, but it depends. There are songs to which the successor versions or other they earn or have better pace / lyric.

An example is the song "You spin me", not just Dead or Alive is great, the others are very, very good (except for the version of "You spin my head" that I do not like. Well, that's my personal opinion, not what will the others.
