@GulfCoastJaguarundi I'll be excited to see your creation! I wish more folks would toss out their kids' noisy toys instead of hiding them in the attic. haha
@GulfCoastJaguarundi I hope you can find all the perfect components so that yours comes out leaving you as satisfied as I was with the outcome of mine. Have fun!
@QuickAtTheKeys Thank you so much. That's just about the sweetest thing I've ever heard. I make a lot of "art" out of recycling garbage. You can see from my excitement that there's a lot of satisfaction when I step back and can honestly tell myself it's not crap. For a change!
@rmmann1 doesn't Satisfaction feel great! it's like our own crack ;)
haha and you can always turn something out of the ordinary into something beautiful and i see you have mastered that art! lol and i have see your finished product it sounds beautiful! when my nephew grows out of his toy xylophone thingy (sry for the spelling) i will certainly try and make my own! probably won't come out as nicly but i think i will give it a try ;)
@QuickAtTheKeys well, I've heard you play and I must say that YOU have true talent. I'm just a nutbucket looking for beauty in the recycling bins who gets lucky from time to time! When you play people know it's a song. I've had people open gifts and ask me, "Uhhhh...what is it...?" I know sometimes music doesn't come out like you plan it, but at least it doesn't turn brown and ugly when you ship it across the country! Or...does it?
@rmmann1 hahaha well if it's what you enjoy doing I say go for it ;) ignore other peoples critisicm because really, they can not see the beauty in art that you see they are blinded but you open yourself up to it! and yes lol somethings definitly don't turn out the way we want them to >.< but hey we are only human right?? haha
Make sure you space the chimes so that they aren't constantly annoying to you! Hahaha! Please let me see them when you're ready. The chimes are still my #1 favorite thing I've ever made. Good luck and have fun!
Thank you. I'm feeling a lot better but still not putting on any weight! I figure I can handle being 96 lbs fine if I don't feel awful all the time. <3
Thanks for the encouragement! All it took was a massive attack of anxiety and discontent over the economy to make me feel creative in a positive way again.
That's so true. If I paid for them every time they tinkled I would think that was my money jingling around in someone else's pocket. Don't you love my use of the old lampshade as a frame? I really love when people throw out their colorful toys. You have my address and I would be honored to have your junk!
