Cop cars are factory stock cars nothing more. They are not fast and in MOST cases they are slower because they are 3750lb cars with a 200lb guy and 500lbs of gear on board and with a full tank of gas your talking about a car close to 5000lb. With a chevy it's a 327 or ford a 289 both maybe producing 250 to 300 hp, thats crap. You don't even count as a quick car until you reach 500hp in my opinion. You don't reach fast until you are 750hp in a 3250lb car.

no its still a 4.6 but the intercepter has an external heat exchanger, is tuned to have a higher idle and different shift points, and has a different rear axel ratio and driveshaft.... im pretty sure thats all but i could be wrong there.

Its bracket racing. I can run in the 12's but did not need to against this slower vehical. Track that night was cold unprepped and slippery. The street had more traction. Just shifed like grandma and still spun at 60mph goind into 3rd (hear the churp). Track has a new owner now and is very sticky and can launch at 6500rpms and run in mid 12's. Not many late model NA convertible street cars can do that.
