Just wanted to point out that the buttons at the 2 o'clock position on these watches serve very different functions. On the Casio, a pair of LEDs light up the dial from the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. In a very dark setting, you could use the watch the way you would a tiny keychain light.
On the Orient, you unscrew the button a bit. Then you give it a quick push to easily change the day display on the Day of the Week window. But you still unscrew the crown to change the date.
The Casio is indeed better in terms of accuracy and durability. But only because this is an apples to oranges comparison. The Casio is quartz movement, while the Orient Mako is known as one of the better lower-end automatics on the market.
If you want accuracy and durability, go with the Casio. If you're seriously considering trying out an automatic that requires no battery at all and is likely to last several decades down the road, the Orient is a very good first automatic to try out.
The Casio looks good with the Nato strap
