now this is what music is all about...in my usual place... with my headphones on and awesome tunes turned up...swaying and diggin this tune ahhh...pure enjoyment
i love this... this is what i want out of music. just RAW quality emotion. to connect to... emotionally.
Back then, music was JUST about the music. nowadays, music's comes with too much of an agenda... pumped fulla agenda to get these beautiful girls to behave as immoral whores.. turning men into animals..
The Nighthawks, Greggson & Collister, Jr Bynum & The GrooveMasters cover this great song, but Bobby "Blue" Bland absolutely smokes the piece hands down he just melts the notes.
@windjammerish that's because he is not a mere mortal but rather a musical god and genius of soul music, my fav soul song is show and tell by Al Wilson, another good one is Feel So Bad by Little Milton
This song brings back some wonderful memories of when I was a "Limo" driver for a local "Blues" band n Atlanta, GA. This is one of the songs they played among others....
To whomever put this video, I thank you. I enjoyed. I have everything Bobby Bland has ever recorded and still searching. If by chance, you have or can get a copy which I cant find any where it would be a song Bobby Bland made called Welcome to the Club. Please post. It would be appreciated.
dunno who got the vehicle's hub caps and stereo which happened in 1989. It was a 1984 cadillac el dorado which musta looked good to a brutha?? That was a long time ago and I would do the same again but take a taxi if I ever decide to visit that area again. I ain't skeered but a lot wiser in my older age. Still yet, Bobby 'blue' Bland is the VERY BEST singer I have ever seen. Brook Benton comes close and I've seen him too.
This song speaks to the reality of life and simplifies the emotional state in simple yet perfectly chosen words. I play it all the time in an attempt to diminish the agony of being treated as though I am a farm animal .:))))
There is no song like this anywhere to decribe the delimma of being treated like a farm animal by those you've loved . He is brilliant in his songwriting and emotional projectio in this song (as with may other songs he has made). I play this song almost everyday while pondering the injustices of my love life.
yes it was a dream gig especially at my age of 22 back then. I jammed on Stormy Monday with Bobby in Chicago at the legendary BURNING SPEAR venue and he hired me that night. My name is mentioned on the latest BBB anthology cd released on MCA , even when mispelled. Mel Brown and I shared guitar chores during this time period. I replaced Wayne Bennett in Chicago who wanted a break from touring.
this is a song that you be played at school b4 class start and bring music back to the classroom, by giving them life real songs rathern than water down hip-hop it is was it is money talks in the USA.
MrWarrenBlue why the vulgarity of speech? Shame on you, bro. lol I told the truth about the experience and the truth about the Black Artist who sang that night. Babby Bland is very good. The thefts of the same evening was very bad.

what can I say Mr. BBB ya just set a timex to shame. Ya just keep on keepin on .Hay its that time of year again .Its birthday time.Love and much mo love to you Mr. BBB you know you are the man with the master plan. Love and best wishes for the comming years.
I got tickets to his show from an employee who told me he was good. My wife and I went to Rockefellers in the 5th Ward of Houston where we were the only white folk among approximate 200 Blacks. I was uncomfortable throughout the EXCELLENT SHOW and for good reason. My stero and hub caps were being removed while we were clubbing with the bruthers. I'd do it again in spite of the problem for this man is as good as it gets when it comes to blues.
@jkbluesman -I saw BBB dozens of times in the '70's. I remember his backing from
Wayne to Mel. I'm a huge Bobby fan, but I missed out on your playing. He needs a specific backing style, and the guitar chair in his band is so important. I'll look around youtube for you. Two years with Bobby...that's a dream gig!
so you are supposed to be that old hag celebrity associate on some youtube videos who puts emphasis on the artist and himself as being friends or acquaintance a while back.. fuck you sir!! hows old age treating you?
@kukillmatic1113 you NEED to do your homework son >>before<< opening your trap and worthless offensive comments. Get a life and research first who played and toured with whom. We toured together for two years in the 70's whether you care to believe it or not. You obviously have a huge problem or maybe are just another jealous guitarist??? whatever...I could care less.
Facts are facts man! Melvin Jackson (band leader at the time) and Bobby didn't forget me ; - ))
When I was a girl 60 plus years ago, Mr Bland would come to my small community in Mississippi, the women got their hair fixed and tool towles to the show the chillin circle
