  • BOBBY BLAND WROTE THE BOOK OF LOVE

    SO MUCH EXPERIENCE

  • This is the best blues song ever written. I never get tired of listening to it. I love it!

  • i love this... this is what i want out of music. just RAW quality emotion. to connect to... emotionally.

Back then, music was JUST about the music. nowadays, music's comes with too much of an agenda... pumped fulla agenda to get these beautiful girls to behave as immoral whores.. turning men into animals..

  • my grandma always played this when she was mad >_>

  • ...has anyone else noticed that glenn frey took the backing track of this number and wrote "one of these nights" over the top...?

  • This is a classic song.....first heard it at someone else's house. I think Bobby still sings at local clubs. I wanta see him!!!

  • @itschelseabxtch95

Good luck, it will cost you a shinny dime...

  • The Nighthawks, Greggson & Collister, Jr Bynum & The GrooveMasters cover this great song, but Bobby "Blue" Bland absolutely smokes the piece hands down he just melts the notes.

  • Today is Mr. Bland 82nd Birthday. Happy Birthday Mr. Bland!!!

  • GREAT POSTING CHUCKD52 I JUST LOVE THIS SONG.JAN

  • Cool song, thanks for posting it! Do you know when it was released?

  • i see why older folks listen to blues now. its so mellow maybe hip hop does have an age limit

  • very good blues

  • I know Bobby got to be in his eighties. But he is still going strong.

  • @windjammerish that's because he is not a mere mortal but rather a musical god and genius of soul music, my fav soul song is show and tell by Al Wilson, another good one is Feel So Bad by Little Milton

  • This album together with his California album are gems - Thanks for posting!

  • One of the greats of soul. Thanks for posting

  • This song brings back some wonderful memories of when I was a "Limo" driver for a local "Blues" band n Atlanta, GA. This is one of the songs they played among others....

  • my favorite blues artist by far this is the real thing baby! do it til you satisfied

  • thank you everybody for your comments

  • I've never heard this song or singer before ... but its brilliant!

  • Excelent

  • To whomever put this video, I thank you. I enjoyed. I have everything Bobby Bland has ever recorded and still searching. If by chance, you have or can get a copy which I cant find any where it would be a song Bobby Bland made called Welcome to the Club. Please post. It would be appreciated.

  • dunno who got the vehicle's hub caps and stereo which happened in 1989. It was a 1984 cadillac el dorado which musta looked good to a brutha?? That was a long time ago and I would do the same again but take a taxi if I ever decide to visit that area again. I ain't skeered but a lot wiser in my older age. Still yet, Bobby 'blue' Bland is the VERY BEST singer I have ever seen. Brook Benton comes close and I've seen him too.

  • This song speaks to the reality of life and simplifies the emotional state in simple yet perfectly chosen words. I play it all the time in an attempt to diminish the agony of being treated as though I am a farm animal .:))))

  • There is no song like this anywhere to decribe the delimma of being treated like a farm animal by those you've loved . He is brilliant in his songwriting and emotional projectio in this song (as with may other songs he has made). I play this song almost everyday while pondering the injustices of my love life.

  • Never heard this b4. Pretty damn good!

  • yes it was a dream gig especially at my age of 22 back then. I jammed on Stormy Monday with Bobby in Chicago at the legendary BURNING SPEAR venue and he hired me that night. My name is mentioned on the latest BBB anthology cd released on MCA , even when mispelled. Mel Brown and I shared guitar chores during this time period. I replaced Wayne Bennett in Chicago who wanted a break from touring.

    jk info@jimkahr.com

  • this is a song that you be played at school b4 class start and bring music back to the classroom, by giving them life real songs rathern than water down hip-hop it is was it is money talks in the USA.

  • gotnaren, three word about those "hub caps".

"Damn, Damn, Damn"!!! Sorry, they got ya bro, nothing personal.

I feel the burden of association right now. lol

  • A great song.

  • i luv this song, sing bobby, HELLO

  • MrWarrenBlue why the vulgarity of speech? Shame on you, bro. lol I told the truth about the experience and the truth about the Black Artist who sang that night. Babby Bland is very good. The thefts of the same evening was very bad.

  • hot song

  • yes i wrote that song /after it,s to late i,m vernon morrison 832-588-3965 call me

  • HELL yEA

  • what can I say Mr. BBB ya just set a timex to shame. Ya just keep on keepin on .Hay its that time of year again .Its birthday time.Love and much mo love to you Mr. BBB you know you are the man with the master plan. Love and best wishes for the comming years.

  • I got tickets to his show from an employee who told me he was good. My wife and I went to Rockefellers in the 5th Ward of Houston where we were the only white folk among approximate 200 Blacks. I was uncomfortable throughout the EXCELLENT SHOW and for good reason. My stero and hub caps were being removed while we were clubbing with the bruthers. I'd do it again in spite of the problem for this man is as good as it gets when it comes to blues.

  • @gotnaren fuck you, now you know how it feels when we as blacks go around a bunch of red necks, what happened to all that courage now you fakes?

  • @gotnaren DO YOU THINK THE BROTHERS KNEW IT WAS A WHITE DUDES CAR? NOT...

  • can not stop listenin to this!!!!at least twice a day, peace

  • can't ever get enough of this man's voice.

I toured with Bobby for two years in the 70's as guitarist nationwide. We teamed up in Chicago. I cherish those times and memories. jim Kahr

  • @jkbluesman -I saw BBB dozens of times in the '70's. I remember his backing from

Wayne to Mel. I'm a huge Bobby fan, but I missed out on your playing. He needs a specific backing style, and the guitar chair in his band is so important. I'll look around youtube for you. Two years with Bobby...that's a dream gig!

  • @jkbluesman

so you are supposed to be that old hag celebrity associate on some youtube videos who puts emphasis on the artist and himself as being friends or acquaintance a while back.. fuck you sir!! hows old age treating you?

  • @kukillmatic1113 you NEED to do your homework son >>before<< opening your trap and worthless offensive comments. Get a life and research first who played and toured with whom. We toured together for two years in the 70's whether you care to believe it or not. You obviously have a huge problem or maybe are just another jealous guitarist??? whatever...I could care less.

Facts are facts man! Melvin Jackson (band leader at the time) and Bobby didn't forget me ; - ))

  • @jkbluesman

    come again?

i didnt read the piece of shit reply.

  • @kukillmatic1113 old age treatin him just like me;good enough to inload a clip on yo young ass!

  • @jkbluesman i know that was hella fun.

  • -This is the blues, the other stuff nowadays is bullshit! You can't find any blues like this nowa days.

  • Does anyone know a song by Mr. Bland with the lyrics?: You only see the mistakes after it's too late.

My father wants the song, but those words are all he remembers.

  • Oh, hold up now, this my stuff here! Lord hear mercy... this when you rock a little with your head down, while popping your fingers. Damn, this song gets you through stuff!

  • This was my grandmother's favorite singer. I now understand why. Both he and B.B. King are some bad dudes

  • This reminds me of being a small child. I grew up at Antone's in Austin, tx. I was lucky enough to experience greats like this as a tiny little kid. and This has and will always remain to be one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • My favorite male blues singer of all time. This song like many of his others has heavily influenced my music. This is a classic.

  • Bobby Blue Bland, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Junior Wells, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Leadbelly ( Where did you sleep last night. Love it. ) etc. , Ya' just can't go wrong by the blues.

  • Bobby has D-E-P-T-H down soul!.. He's the BEST in the WORLD!

  • Isn't he the greatest? Bobby is what a soul singer is supposed to be. He's been so underrated. I put him right up there with Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett, and Marvin Junior.

  • God he is so ..... i just caught him singing Blind man on that allmemphismusic, just awesome! And he's still going?

  • Great!

  • brilliant

  • I could listen to BBB all night long and all the way cross-country. One of the underrated greats.

  • so true words, love the message, nobody like Bobby can deliver!! lol

  • The song is simply great and the whole music

of "that time" was fantastic. There was a lot

of creative people with a real touch of love

for singing and playing the live music.
