I'm surprised my answer went through to Earl. It's hilarious he didn't buy the reason I gave him regarding Dhalsim, even though it's documented fact from the movie's director. :P Either way, I'm really psyched and honoured to have made it on the show -- even in email form.
It's hard to find more retro commercials. I'm thinking of putting in some modern commercials. It's rare to find high quality commercials on the web, or even eBay.
I can only imagine how you even obtain those commercials. Personally I think they are better as lower quality let alone more sentimental. The 80s commercials I still remember are on old VHS tapes.
Thank you! We may be changing our schedule a bit, and may not be able to do a monthly show. We're skipping January 2009, but will return in February for our 14th anniversary show. We'll keep everyone up to date on episode releases on the forums.
No problem. It's understandable though that you are skipping January because I can see it is hard putting together a show each month. I'm sure you guys have understanding and patient enough fans.
The VS games are fantastic, most fighting game fans have been clamoring for another one for a long time that involves Capcom. And although you don't want to hear it, Tatsunoko is one of the most famous old school anime companies, mainly from the 60's/70's.
Not really, man. We're skipping the January 2009 show, but will be back for February. After that, who knows? Might be April or May 2009, we'll have to see.
I just need more time to put these shows together. More time to play the games, and get other content from everyone else. That way, no one here feels rushed.
Awesome stuff as always, Video Masters TV is probably the best gaming show out there along with Retroware TV. Pretty weird that they released a toy line based on an R-Rated movie, I doubt they'd get away with that these days.
I have a first generation North American Master System. If you turn it on without a cartridge and hold up, 1 and 2 on the controller the snail maze game will load. It's a mediocre game but a cool easter egg.
That was a trick question for the Trivia question as the master system was released with several pack in games, sometimes Hang-on was on it's own and sometimes it had Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in.
But it was technically THREE built in games for your question as that version also had Snail maze built into the machine, which was more an easter egg game.
Look up "Snail Maze" on Wikipedia, thats all the info there. It's technically three, Sega never promoted Snail Maze, possibly as they weren't aware of it themselves.
BTW any plans on reviewing Dr. Ashens DVD on VMTV in the future?
Nice, I like the part where Santa dies at the end.

Hey, man. You know what they say. Opposites attract. You never know. 2009 may bring another crush for Earl. We'll just have to wait and see.

It may be documented fact, still doesn't make the film better, nor does it help the scene make much sense. But, that's just me, hehe.
GrilledMonkeyFat 3 years ago
Hahaha, true say, man. True say.
But then again, I am one of the few people who actually likes the movie. :P
Can't wait for the next video!

Are you planning on filming in HD?
Also, I wish I was born in the early 70s, the 80s is my favourite decade, I would LOVE to grow up in it.
d2girls 3 years ago
HD? Not anytime soon. Would need an HD camera for that, and even though we all have jobs, we don't make nearly as much to afford the big stuff.

Sorry to hear that. T___T

So I hear, I really gotta find out. I know there were 3 or so models of the SMS. My system just happened to have those two games.
I'll have to improve on the trivia questions next time, hehe.

ROFL
Hey, could have been a mall Santa or, since Earl does live near Las Vegas, could have been a Santa performing at the Sahara.
Can you picture that? I sure can! :D

Makes sense...

I figured as much. Some of the characters I saw led me to that conclusion.
So, is this new VS game a response to fans, much like the whole Mega Man 9 deal?

FAntastico! Seems you got back to the monthly release... That's cool!!!

Well I didn't learn anything new from this episode. But it was still very entertaining. Keep of the good work.

Hmm, never thought of my shows as a learning experience, or educational for anyone. Not sure what you were hoping to get out of this one.
I think I'm a bit confused, buddy.
GrilledMonkeyFat 3 years ago
Well I dont hope to get anything out your show lol. But I would like to see some Intellivision reviews.

We're workin on that. It's definitely on my list.

That's what I remember mine doing, too. I'm like you, it was neat that it was there, but the game kinda sucked.

Good show guys!

True, I did look it up prior to writing the question.
Hmm, three games? Didn't find anything on that. I still have the original unit, I'll have to try that.
