I had, in this order, Wonderboy and Super for the C64 and then Monster Lair for the Megadrive which was the toughest (those damn flying sections!).
Interesting to see them on other formats and I don't see anything wrong with emulators.
They capture the originals exactly and even improve on them (more options, sped-up loading, save states if too tough)

Poor Amstrad always getting the short end of the stick :(. The ZX Spectrum WB may not look good but the music wasn't half bad. You can love the C64 version all you want and remark on features it had over the others but it isn't technically possible for it to have higher resolutions than an Amiga or Atair ST ^_^. Yeah they had some sort of anime tie in so they swapped out the characters. Great comparison video :)

you shouldnt use emulator to compare.. emulator stuff totally sux for example in nego geo emulators the musik and the sound completly sux compared to the original.. same as arcade...they just cut the music and stuff like that

@IBOUGHTYAMOM I think all the emulators work pretty decently and is the only practical way to get an overview, it's easy, captures everything in great high-res quality with stereo sound. It would be a huge job to buy all consoles, buy all wonderboy games and record them with a film camera and probably even more people would then complain about picture quality and that the sound is bad.

The Amiga version is crap because it's a ST conversion. And if the C64 version has a higher resolution than the ST/Amiga it also means that you need some glasses.
FYI: the resolution is the number of pixels (X*Y)

The c64 version of the orignal game had an excellent flow to it, it was very responsive.
The turbographics 16 main screen looks like a rip off of Sonic the Hedgehog! What's that about?
