Very nice video, but the title is slightly misleading; I was expecting a hidden piston door that was (along with it's redstone circuits) somehow fit into a 2x1 space. +1 like on your video.
I made an inferior version time ago, with two differences. First, the "door" are two "utility blocks": a workbench and a glowstone block, and they are placed at a corner in a room. Two less pistons for the door, and I have an excuse for going there. Second, the trigger torch directly powers the down moving trigger piston's moved block. One less redstone torch, AND I can harness two pistons bugs to get back the trigger torch instantly and keep the door open until I press the inner button.
I love how you don't have anything left so we know EXACTLY what we need and how much of it!

Great explanation but it can be done smaller, without using torches to activate the 4 pistions, and instead two repeaters making it all lower.
