wow. that is actually extremely impressive! about how much did it cost you to set it all up? i know some of that micro stuff is still pretty high in price. i fly nitro kits .40-.60 size, im anti-ARF so i know i can build it and fab all the parts no problem, but im not sure i could handle a plane that tiny in the air!
really awesome work, the covering is great too! keep it up!
ay my girl freinds dad gave me his old fokker dr-1 because he nose dived it in to the ground its so badly damiged that i cant repar it but if any of you guy r willing to help it would great?
the plain had a 480 brushless in it just to you an ida on how hard it hit the ground
i used to have this kit! but my ex broke it by shooting it down with an air rifle while i was flying it... shouldnt have let her train with the police :[
Guillows got the lines right and most of the rest of the kits and ARFs do not. By all means get some flying video up here and tell us Wattflyers how you did it. We'll want to imitate
i have a guillow's kit too, but is a piper tomahawk 1/2A scale, im on the building process, it's a beautifull model, but this focker dr-1 stills quite beautifull too, im going to use an electric engine on it, because it's easier to operate. im from argentina and i have 15 years old.
did it come with the stuff to make it remote controll??

Nice! I built a Guillow's Fokker Dr 1 in 1969. I bet the kit looks more or less the same still.

Love your plane very much! What kind of engine does it have? Are the alleron, rudder and elevator very hard to construct?

If you want tight tissue you need to mist the tissue, it will shrink nice and tight provided you did a descent job of covering it in the first place.

Did you make this yourself, or is it a kit plane ? Its beautiful.
sickbuffalo 4 years ago
it's a kit by guillow's. i'd just google their website to see if you can find the kit online.
takes a lot of patience adn time to build one though. ^_^

The AMA is for old folks and agnostics. A monopolistic company. Never join a gas club they will deny use of the runway for an electric.
