The Great Global Warming Hoax is the greatest scientific hoax ever pulled on a largely scientifically illiterate population. Go back to high school, take physics ( and pay particular attention to basic thermodynamics ) then comment with at least a modicum of knowledge instead of just parroting the AGW nonsense.
In the video Patrick J Michaels says: "the entire global climate change hysteria is driven by computer models, it is not driven by reality...".
What he conveniently leaves out is that these models actually have proven quite reliable and most of the times they HAVEN'T (as in the past few years) it turns out they were MORE conservative than reality; meaning global warming and its effects have actually proven WORSE in reality than some models/projections. He's also closely tied to industry money.
Actually observed? How about the last three years setting record for Arctic sea ice minimums? Every lecture I have heard by Climatologists all refute Singer's statements about warming being predicted at the equator and at altitude. They all say warming will occur at the poles and at ground level. That is what the models have shown for decades. You have gone far out of your way to mislead with this tripe.
Unfortunately you know not of what you speak. The 2007 minimum was NOT do to global warming but to different wind and ocean currents combining in a way to break up the ice cap. The icecap has been rapidly growing since then. The Antarctic ice cap reached a record maximum in 2007 and 2009. I don't know what lecture's you have been attending, but scientists by the drove are abandoning the man-caused global warming theory because of this information .
Actually ice cover was below the long-term average. And what is always SO conveniently left out of deniers arguments when they say "Arctic sea ice cover has increased! haHA! GOTCHA!" is that OVERALL ICE THICKNESS HAS DRASTICALLY DECREASED due to global warming. Talk about a superficial argument... you're essentially judging an ice cap by its cover rather than its depth, and the depth shows that global warming is seriously degrading thickness.
@TRUMPHENT I also don't know where you get the idea that climatologists refute Singer's statements about warming being predicted at the equator and at altitude. To my knowledge, no scientist disagrees about this. If you listened to Singer, you would know that this is built into every climate computer model. It is in the 2007 IPCC report. You need to get your facts straight.
