Here's the plot of the first cutscene:

Don is now grown up, until Don encounters Kodama. She has bad news saying that she cannot find the tamashii, Don decides to find it but Kodama sees that Don actually finally owns them. Kodama decides to give the gratitude to his friends, but Don declines. Kodama then makes Don "go back" but thinks Don is being persistant, Don disagrees to go, and refuses. Kodama thinks that they will be in trouble, and Kodama forces him to go and takes him away.

As the cutscenes begin, WadaDon meets Haruka. Haruka explained that the tamashis have disappeared. Haruka then wants WadaDon to give gratitude to his friends, but WadaDon disapproves. Haruka thinks WadaDon is being persistant, so Haruka teleports WadaDon, and goes home. But then MechaDon, teleports the mere drum back. WadaDon says exciting phrases, before the credits, he bursts into tears of joy, seen at 4:23

Don (the drum) says something about how much he loves his friends, and everyone else at around 1:25. At 1:40 he's saying: "I don't want that, I don't want that, I don't want that!! But, but... -something......- Why are you doing this??"

Err..... That's all I can guess. XAX 2:28 he mentions "Save meeeee!!~"

I've heard that this is about some festivals where they needed the best Taiko to play, but Don didn't want to go at there. That god(?) forced him to go at there. At the end Don told that he had a great time in the festivals and told his sorry about leaving the player alone to drum.

That's what I've heard, at least.
