Personally, I think these sexual assault allegations are a weak move conjured up by fellow Republican candidates. If they have to look back into the 90's to find rumors against Cain then they are probably reaching without merit. Honestly, the Democrats want Cain to win. Check the polls. Obama is leading Cain by 5-12 points. Democrats have no reason to want Cain to lose.

Cain's plan adds a national sales tax while dropping the corporate taxes. It also sets all of our income tax rates at 9%. The average single filer in the US earns 32k a year. They pay $4375 in taxes before deductions for things like college costs and children. The average person pays $3500 in tax dollars after credits. Under Cain's plan that person will pay $2900 in income taxes...So all we have to do is pay $6000 on goods or services to simply to equal our current tax rates.

That's only spending 500 bucks on month on goods and services for the average person. The end result is that we will be paying higher taxes. And it makes sense when you look at how much Cain plans to drop the corporate tax rate (from an average of 25% to 9%). That extra tax income had to come from somewhere. Under Cain's plan it will come out of our pockets.

If you think about it the plan also favors huge businesses that can offer lower prices. Lower prices = less taxes.

What is interesting is that while people are unhappy with the job Obama is doing, as reflected by his job rating polls (51 percent disapprove) and GOP vs Obama polls (GOP leads by about 2 percentage points), there isn't a Republican candidate who excites people enough to oust Obama. Romney should be destroying Obama. They are dead even in the polls. Obama leads every other candidate by an average of 5 points or more. I draw no conclusions from this. It's far too early. Still, it's interesting.
