I wear it over Shimmer Sand shadestick or Silverbleu shadestick.  I'm not very skilled with shadows and such, so I don't wear several colors at once. I'm lucky to get two colors to work well.

Thanks, Shawnta! The deluxe shadows are just fantastic in every way. I agree with you about the cuteness of the compacts. The set doesn't have that gorgeous blue or the two reds, so we can still get those and be delighted by the packaging! :)

Essence of Beauty really does have some good brushes for great prices. I have the foundation brush and the two crease brushes.

By the way, do you use any of the black face brushes (like blush, contour, powder)? I bought the contour and blender set, but when I washed them, they seemed to be bleeding black dye. I ended up tossing them because it never stopped and I was concerned about putting it on my skin. I was wondering if others had this experience.

I have enjoyed the palette so much! I have used at least one color from it every day since I bought it. The shadows are deliciously velvety. I haven't used the neutrals quite as much as the bright ones, but that's just because I'm in a bright phase right now. I like them all, though.

This is just gorgeous. Would you recommend the UD pallet for someone on the "late side" of thirty? You don't think the colors are too young?

I know a certain sexagenarian who loves the colors. She doesn't have the whole set, but she does have Ransom and has been considering buying the palette. You can tone down any of the colors with deeper bases and by blending in darker colors like I did with the black. Plus, there are three neutral shadows included in the set, too. So, yes, I recommend it highly. Beautiful colors, good quality, great deal.

I was just revisiting your question and realized I forgot to tell you about the texture of the shadows. They are all shimmery (but not frosty or glittery). If you're familiar with MAC eyeshadow textures, these are most similar to MAC Veluxe Pearls, I believe. They are deliciously velvety and soft.

YEA GIRL! That looks beeeeeyutiful! lol. I'm darker than you, and was trying to envisage the type of greens i would use, and i started applying it (in my mind :) as u instructed, and it soon became a not so pretty picture lol, but as soon as u added the black shadow i thought 'YEAAAA' lol, cos for me that would tone down the colours to suit me AND give that artistic flare!! I will always continue to love your videos! great stuff! :)

Thank you, Emily. I like the HiP crayons a lot. They go on more smoothly than Shadesticks, set quickly, and don't budge all day. I get minimal creasing with Shadesticks on my oiliest days, but I have had no creasing with the HiP crayons. I use them most often as bases, but they also make great thick liners.
