I think there are as many religions as there are people. THe way I put it together is that there are the Eloim---plural, male and female, They organized diverse and eventually intelligent life among the heavens--they are very old. Then there are the Lord and Lady, angels and other beings between them and humanity. then we come in. I don't believe in hell, but do in redemption and prayer. Satan certainly is not good. We are capable of most any evil, doing most of what occurs.

Are you Gnostic? If there is a Divine it must be governed by the laws of nature. In nature, all living creatures exist in groups. There are 7 billion people, trillions and trillions of trees, who knows how many fish are in the sea. Many beings is the pattern of nature. There is not a single anything in nature, so how could there only be one God? And a lone Male God at that. No sex for HIM!!!! Why does God need a penis if there is no Goddess? Or is God dick-less? Monotheism is illogical.

Yes, you are most likely right. I think the problem is as some people have said too many anti-theists (people who hate all religions) call themselves atheists people who just don't believe). This just confuses people about what atheists are.

Every tribe, every nation, every culture of man believed in some form of afterlife, all, expect the Communist nations. The Hopi Indians, ancient Romans, African Zulu, ancient Chinise, the Celts, the Vikings, the Slavs, the Christians, the Jews, the Mayans, etc., etc. etc. ALL believed in some form of afterlife, everyone but the crazy, murderous Communists. you are right, actually more than 80% of the world population believes in some form of afterlife and yeah, now that you bring that subject I thought about it and came to the conclution that maybe there could be something or maybe not, I can't prove or disprove such thing.

I was an atheist for a long time. But the more I read about history the more I doubted atheism. How can so many people be so wrong since the beginning of time? And only creeps like Pol Pot and Stalin are right? The fact that there are so many different religions doesn't prove that there is nothing beyond this world as the atheists claim, but there must be something people have contacted. Different people from different cultures can see the same thing a different way.

@DutchHeathen A generation is 20 years. Christian Communism goes back 2,000 years. Marxian Communism goes back to the 1840s, so it's old enough to be more than just a sub-culture. Even Communist China is older than three generations.

Ragnarok mean twilight of the Gods. In Christian cultures, twilight meant death or near the end, but in Germanic cultures, twilight meant new beginning, renewal, rebirth.
