I loved the 60's and '70's and loved this song and I was born and raised in sunny Southern California, born and raised in Long Beach and moved to Huntington Beach in the mid 60's and lived 2 blocks from the beach. What days!!! My mom still lives in that big house, all by herself and her Golden Retreiver. They don't make music like this anymore and I'm g lad we've got this forum to listen and watch all these great artists and bands.

Only someone from the '70s can truly understand the beauty of that decade. I was fortunate to have shared the magic. Some instilled the love in their children. Songs like "It never rains in southern California" keep the memory alive. I was fortunate also to have lived in southern California for awhile. It just doesn't get much better.

This is a song that I have loved since I first heard it as a child in the early 70's.

I never tire of it,although I have always thought there is a bit of Irony about the rain in California,simply because as a Brit,he should be used to it.

I understand from young friends that he has a talented look-a-like son who has made a bit of a name for himself in his native America.

I would like to hear him cover this dads song, but perhaps call it "It always rains in Southern England".Perfect symmetry.
