What freedoms of ours are you supposedly protecting that has been threatened by the people in countries that the US military has invaded?Most iraqi's have not threatened any of the freedoms we have in this countries and even if they wanted to most lack the financial resources to carry out their plan into action. Plus, if you were truly protecting personal freedoms , we should be able to pursue any personal freedom we want, and yet we lack innumerable personal freedoms in this country.
Of course you fight these wars by choice. You always have a choice. We don't have a military draft in this country and even if we did , there are a number of albeit risky options you could have to avoid a military draft . Nobody forced you to joined the military and face the chances of possibly fighting a war. There were a number of options you could have pursued besides joining the military to acquire a form of income. The military wasn't your only option.

That is, our freedoms are only preserved by limiting the freedoms of others. Despite what individuals may think, this is not a reasonable and equitable way of establishing rights and freedoms. We don't have a military draft in this country and even if we did , there are a number of albeit risky options you could have to avoid a military draft . Nobody forced you to joined the military and face the chances of possibly fighting a war. There were a number of options you could have pursued besides joining the military to acquire a form of income. The military wasn't your only option.

That is, our freedoms are only preserved by limiting the freedoms of others. Despite what individuals may think, this is not a reasonable and equitable way of establishing rights and freedoms. @Avanath90 on that note we found WHOLE mig 29 fighter jets burried fully in the desert, combat loaded, i promise u these guys had the weapons, we found residues, and paperwork on them, but the weapons were long gone, burried or given to iran like u said, for safe keeping. very scary to think where they could be today.

@Friedstuffsable Our freedom as a nation does not stop within the borders of this land. Our freedom is a right given to us by our founding fathers but not a right that we should be selfish with. If you agree with freedom then freedom should not be kept in a box but given to anyone possible. If that means stopping genocide in Iraq, so be it; it doesn't matter what the President said, that was always the goal.
So our "vague idea" of freedom is not just for us but an idea for all.
