I didn't really like Goodfellas, it's a good movie, but I never understood what all the fuss is about. People say it's the best Martin Scorsese film which I disagree with, I thought Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and The King Of Comedy were by far better.

I mean it's an entertaining italian mobster movie, but nothing special, nothing like Godfather.

I'm an American, and I agree with you. I think it all has to do with how the parents expose movies to their kids. I think foreign movies can be a lot more intresting than American films, to me some of the best movies are foreign films like Ringu (1998) which scared the shit out of me, and Johnny Stecchino (1991) Johnny Stecchino is one of my favorite films, I highly reccomend it.
