I've had Norvel .06 engines idling, on diesel, as low as 3K.
I'm afraid that head temps is not something that I've looked into. In any case, the Norvels seem to tolerate a pretty wide heat range. I've added massive heat sinks and also turned off much of the fin area on a stock engine with not any discernible difference in performance.
What is the lowest possible idle? if you know. Also, how hot does the head get in comparison to nitro? Thanks

That's 16K plus. Yes, far more powerful than any Cox I've ever owned.
