"If I speak at one constant volume, at one constant pitch, at one constant rhythm, right into your ear....you still won't hear...you still won't hear...YOU STILL WONT HEAR!"
I heard angel dust a couple of months ago and didn't like at all. Too much alternative, non-comercial, a little bit hip hop, without great main refrain, guitar solos and so.
I don't know what is happenin' to me but I'm lovin' this album nowadays...
you mean in the wake of pearl jam and sound garden fuck nirvana... you know what was the best thing that came out of nirvana? (Foo Fighters) not much of a fan of Foo Fighters but hell anything is better then Nirvana!!!!!!
@DungeonChampionship I mean his high pitched crooning/singing style he used on The Real Thing and Mr. Bungle's debut. He started singing deeper starting with his album.
@MaleBolge980 I love it when you people post. It's an easy way for the rest of us to find out who the real idiots are. Holy fuck man, are there really people like you still left in the civilized world? BTW, where do you think you're going? Unless "God" [a ridiculous concept as you see it] is a retarded & ignorant fuck like yourself, don't expect to be getting into "heaven" any time soon there Forrest.
@rogers900 Hey, absolutely... I can find common ground with damn near anybody but, me thinks, there is no common ground between me and Bulgy there. I'm afraid I wouldn't last more than a minute or two locked in the same room before I would have to kick the shit out of him. It's his kind of mentality [religious fanaticism] that has, for thousands of years, and continues to, hold back the human race. Imagine if religion had not been around to hold back science for the last 2000 years...
Part of what makes Faith No More so unique is that each song sounds like a downward spiral. It sounds like a personal extreme psychological journey breaking down. If you could hear Mike Patton's (or alot of other people for that matter) unsubconscious, it would sound like Faith No More, put it that way.
@jiggitydazzle84- you're right, the 90's bands were soooo much deeper than what we got after them. It started with Nu Metal and the Creed bands and we've been flowing steadily down the commode since.
I read about this song, and how it was 'supposedly' inspired by the fact that Mike's dad was a coach & all. But for me, it's not about 'not measuring up', or anything... it's just about how I often feel alone, and that the world at large just doesn't get me.
Weird.
Best fucking album ever. Light years ahead of its time...
Why do people always start comparing other bands to Faith No More in these videos? |: srsly just sit back and enjoy the music and stop acting like anyone is more special than the other just because you know this band.
It's not metal. It's alternative. For those who were there when anthrax and skid row became uncool in the wake of Nirvana and Soundgarden, Faith No More was the watershed moment in our musical lives, when lyricism meant more than sexism, when arrangement meant more than choreographed stage moves. FNM bridged gaps between the art-punk Pixies fans and the Syth metal spuzz of Whitesnake. That's an achievement,
@TheSkeletorman Bro that was a definition and a half! :D thats exactly how it was ..cos I was growing up in those times .. I moved from Skid Row,Motley Crue ,Slaughter and Twisted Sister...then came this FNM I remember and later I moved to the AIC,Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam etc... :)
Why do you never hear them on the radio? Or Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins? The only nod to the alternative scene in the early 90s are the fuckin' Chilis! Someone's not sucking the right cocks I reckon.
@PeteAmachree agreed. And in my opinion RHCP sucks. Need more Pumpkins for sure, STP, Pearl Jam, i agree with all your choices. Would you believe that i actually heard HELMET on the radio today?! I was shocked and extremely happy. More Helmet too, maybe instead of all that Nirvana bullshit they spoonfeed on Adult Contemporary channels. Yes, I like that idea very much.
Bought this as a schoolkid, 15 I think I was. Me and my mate listened to it the whole summer and beyond. Somehow it just slipped out of my conscience over the next 15 years. Listening to it again, I recall every note! Such is the power of (great) music. God blessed this band. Thanks for the upload Fallenx. Great memories.
@Conspiracytheorist91 No....You're not. You're a screamcorehead. I'm not knocking what YOU listen to, but Metalhead means that you listen to a much wider range of metal than just that alone.
@Conspiracytheorist91 First of all, Mike patton would beat your ass with one arm behind his back, and secondly, your girlfriend and probably even your mom would fuck him.
Mike Patton was well over 30 when he got into his heaviest phase. You'd be surprised at how many great musicians there are over the age of 30. It's a rarity that a kid could actually write anything meaningful. You don't have the experience to actually know what in the fuck you are talking about in the first place....unless you want to talk about the maddening injustice of your parents grounding you...and NOBODY wants to hear your lame life shit.
@Conspiracytheorist91 You're either a total retard or just a clueless kid-probably both. people over 30 were teeneagers when metal was brand new dumbshit. This crap you kids listen to now is shit, and it's not metal. Nu-metal is not metal. go listen to disturbed and go back to cutting yourself.
@porcupine07 You're obviously talking about shit you don't know. Disturbed? You have no idea what new metal is. They SUCK. Look up Asking Alexandria, Greeley Estates, Bless the Fall, Bring me the Horizon, As I lay Dying, Etc. Dumbfuck.

This is a very good album! Some really good songs on Angel Dust - Midlife Crisis, Everything's Ruined, Easy, A Small Victory, Crack Hitler & Midnight Cowboy.

Seriously, just buy the album. Not spamming here. It's just a very good album.
