I was an orchestra member of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra in Halifax when Victor Yampolsky invited him to play the Bruch. He played fabulously, with frightening intensity. It was picked up by the CBC Radio. Does anyone know if there's a recording of him doing the Bruch?
Absolutly fantastic!! The best performance of the concerto I have ever heard! Thanks for the video, if you have more videos of Boris Belkin, please share them!!! He is great.
fantastic. one of the flashiest Tchaikovsky 3rd movements I've heard. I was at this concert in 1980 or 81. orchestra members I Knew were all saying it was the fastest they had ever performed this movement. dfmc.
Indeed, before I read your comment, I already thought this was a "speedmetal" performance. That said, it's actually nice to have heared it like this (although a more relaxed pace has my preference)
Wow! Truly BLISTERING virtuosity, of the highest caliber. Bravo!
