Actually, the problem isn't EA in this video... it's the fact that you backed up 20 yards before throwing the pass.

The lineman takes off because you threw the pass. The problem is, you were so far back that he had time to get in the way. If you were 4-5 yards behind the line of scrimmage (like ACTUAL QBs do) then the lineman wouldn't have time to get in the way... actually, he probably would have made a block for you.

EA has a lot of problems in their games. This one was not their fault.

Is it me, or does it SEEM (just seem) like this is a mistake in the EA products, but by design in 2k5. Like 2k5 recognizes that this does happen, and they "make" it happen in cases where it can - like on broken screen plays that you just decide to chuck downfield. I like that about 2K5.

The lineman going down field isn't all that unrealistic. It happens in real life. I have NFL 2K5 and twice in the same game I had pass plays called back because my center had run down field on both occasions.

The point is if that happens 2k is smart enough to recognize that it's a penalty. EA just penalizes you because no one was blitzin that gap so the lineman stops the play from happenin.

Good video, man. The reason this happens is because the ball seems to be magnetic. Watch a field goal or a PAT...the defense (and even the offense) tends to run after the ball when it's in the air. IT seems to translate to the O-Line as well, which is insanely idiotic. If you want to get technical this is an ineligible receiver penalty, but of course that's not in the game...and even if it was, it wouldn't fucking work anyway.
