naturally. the directors are diferent of these both films. Richard Kelly is very specific. I recomend to you to watch his others movies, not a parodies of his movies

They've gone and made it the cliche 'save the world' movie. Plus, there was no way to make a good sequel. Donnie Darko on it's own was very conclusive. The music is good though. But it's not even close to being as dark and smart as the original. :O

Donnie Darko was epic because there the abnormal events arent so extreme like in this film. They just wanted to make it all really extraordernairy and magic-like. Everyone felt like Donnie Darko was there own special movie that no one got or could connect with better than them. Take your head out of your ass and realise how fucking huge this movie got and that you are not the worlds biggest Darko fan. Hey I bet everyone thought the Southland Tales would suck because the Rock was in it right? How wrong everyone was. Hopefully in 3 years people can respect this movie because it does actually make sense. Hardcore Darko fans beware your turf may be steped on.
And the guy in the Frank mask might be Jeremy. Or Justin. And there's some Jesus freaks. And the demon girl turns out to be Grandma Death (Roberta Sparrow) from the first film. And apparently Justin (Sparrow) is her descendant. And Sam's back, by some time-travel or something. She's with Justin. And Sam found some corpses of some missing kids.
Also, Sam (Donnie's sister) and her friend met this possibly-gay meteorite-obsessed nerd named Jeremy. Anyway, fast-forward. Sam dies in a car accident and the weird demon girl apparently wants to show Sam's friend how to bring her back. Oh, and the meteorite apparently isn't a meteorite after all.
So, the first 45 minutes are a senseless blur, but there was some demon girl or something who not only mentioned the end of the world (with a very specific deadline) as Frank did in the original but also ordered a building burnt down the same as he. It was a church this time, rather than some pervert's house. Also, she convinced some guy named Justin to build himself a mask kinda like Frank had in the 1st one.
the devil is walking upthe stairs with a plank of wood and a rusty nail in it and is gonnacap some deuchbag ass for ruining a reat film justto kickstart his career. who ever says thisfilms okay is a smegma infested rape victim that ought to die of cancer... in the head, and balls.

This one actually cost a little LESS than the original (clocking in at just over 4 million) And I believe that, given time, it WILL make it's money back and then some, just like the first. Donnie Darko universally bombed TWICE before we, as the fans, embraced it's awesomeness. This will do the same
This looks good but I'm thinking maybe they could have slighlty altered the plot and made it have no connections to Donnie Darko. A sequel really is not necessary.
Also some people might not think about this, but the music in Donnie Darko really set the theam and mood of the scene, and from watching the trailer it wont be as good and if you dont belive me watch Donnie Darko again and listen for the music.
I adore the sequel, just because it's not the exact same or the same plot line as donnie darko doesn't make it any less good of a film.

Donnie Darko was epic because there the abnormal events arent so extreme like in this film. They just wanted to make it all really extraordernairy and magic-like. In Donnie darko it aint all extreme but more like "as it would be real, then that would be how it would be" In S.Darko the world is going down.. That's lame. When you got a good idea, dont go rape it and make it extreme. Looks like everyone in S.Darko can see the timethingy's, has magic and Donnie knows what.
A shame.

Its weird they made a sequel to the movie using Samantha. You'd think they'd have Elizabeth like right after donnie died.

this movie is exactly what everyone is expecting.
its terrible.
5/10 because it had a couple of good scenes & good music. Gave it a chance. Very Dissapointing.

i am going to give this one a shot, I gave the last one a shot and that one i did not like. But when i come too think about it, the first one was kinda of a masterpice since i can remeber the whole movie and it freaked me out :| hmmmm... :D

Everyone felt like Donnie Darko was there own special movie that no one got or could connect with better than them. Take your head out of your ass and realise how fucking huge this movie got and that you are not the worlds biggest Darko fan. Hey I bet everyone thought the Southland Tales would suck because the Rock was in it right? How wrong everyone was. Hopefully in 3 years people can respect this movie because it does actually make sense. Hardcore Darko fans beware your turf may be steped on.

And the guy in the Frank mask might be Jeremy. Or Justin. And there's some Jesus freaks. And the demon girl turns out to be Grandma Death (Roberta Sparrow) from the first film. And apparently Justin (Sparrow) is her descendant. And Sam's back, by some time-travel or something. She's with Justin. And Sam found some corpses of some missing kids.

Also, Sam (Donnie's sister) and her friend met this possibly-gay meteorite-obsessed nerd named Jeremy. Anyway, fast-forward. Sam dies in a car accident and the weird demon girl apparently wants to show Sam's friend how to bring her back. Oh, and the meteorite apparently isn't a meteorite after all.

So, the first 45 minutes are a senseless blur, but there was some demon girl or something who not only mentioned the end of the world (with a very specific deadline) as Frank did in the original but also ordered a building burnt down the same as he. It was a church this time, rather than some pervert's house. Also, she convinced some guy named Justin to build himself a mask kinda like Frank had in the 1st one.

This one actually cost a little LESS than the original (clocking in at just over 4 million) And I believe that, given time, it WILL make it's money back and then some, just like the first. Donnie Darko universally bombed TWICE before we, as the fans, embraced it's awesomeness. This will do the same

This looks good but I'm thinking maybe they could have slighlty altered the plot and made it have no connections to Donnie Darko. A sequel really is not necessary.

Also some people might not think about this, but the music in Donnie Darko really set the theam and mood of the scene, and from watching the trailer it wont be as good and if you dont belive me watch Donnie Darko again and listen for the music.
