The whole movie is shot in Iceland (where Sigur Ros resides) and it's basically about them coming off of a world tour and playing a series of unannounced shows around mostly smaller towns, but this I believe is in their hometown where they drew a huge crowd.

No, this concert was in the national park of asbyrgi in north east of Iceland. The members of the band are all from Reykjavik, i think. The only concert that was performed in a town was in Reykjavik. The others were in the middle of the nature were no one lives.
