My thoery is that both happened. Ahadi did Claw Taka in the face. He had a wound but no scar. It was able to heal. But then the Buffalo incident opened up the wound even more causing a scar.

Or maybe it was the other way around where Boma caused the wound and Ahadi opened it up.

-sigh- Nobody does research anymore. Ahadi was a rouge lion who came from the outlands. Uru fell in love with him, but the current lion king didn't like him, so Ahadi chalenged the king to a fight and won. When Uru had Mufasa and Taka, Ahadi decided that Mufasa would be a better king, and neglected Taka entirely. When Mufasa and Taka annoyed some buffalo, he saved Mufasa, but not Taka. Taka was scarred, and Uru blamed Ahadi for it, and left him.

@polandgirl2008 actually, it is supposed to be black, according to the guy who created ahadi, the description in the book describes him as having a black mane, the illustrator screwed it up, but the OFFICIAL, AND ORIGINAL mane colour for Ahadi is black

@chloieanne1 They are actually, they're featured in a short novel that Disney released shortly after the Lion king came out. They're a part of a 6-book collection. They're really nice stories too, discussing the characters' histories, like how Scar got his scar and what his original name was, how Mufasa met Zazu and Rafiki, and the novels also feature Simba's long lost son, Kopa.

@XionVinco I thought Scar got his name, because he had caused a herd of buffalo to gather, because he was taunting Boso the Buffalo and Boso turned around and gathered his heard around Mufasa, but their father settled the dispute. But, Taka ended up getting a scar, because Boso had ripped a scar across his eye.

@umagarandyorton619 Ahadi loved his sons but he sensed an evil in Taka and told him at a young age "Your anger will cause your demise", its like Ahadi foresaw what Taka would do once he became Scar. Ahadi was cool. In the water buffalo incident Scar wanted the buffalo to attack Mufasa so Scar can save him and be looked at as powerful but Mufasa got away and they attacked Scar and Mufasa tried to save Scar but they got jumped and Ahadi came to save them like Mufasa did with Simba and the Hyenas

Please give credit to all of the wonderful fanartists who drew the pictures. It takes a long time to create just one great image, and when people use them without giving due credit it's depressing. All you had to do was search for images with "Ahadi" and put them into a slideshow with some music. Those artists worked for hours or even days on each individual piece. :/

My favorite Lion King characters are the hyenas, the lionesses, Kovu and Vitani. I feel that the Pridelands Circle of Life was unfair to hyenas, lionesses and anyone who was "dark", but at the same time I love the TLK movies and I actually believe in monarchy as a government. ( It has worked in Hawaii and new Zealand without tyrants!)
