@samhoverson Yeah most 4wd trucks were the 3.73 because of the larger diameter tires.. Mine had the hiway friendly 3.42's

I was being sarcastic when I thanked him for losing my truck. I worked for the Maryland state highway and the budget was cut including our funding which led to me losing my contract with the state. The truck was going soon after this video was taken and tried to sell my month old tires but couldnt find a buyer. So I said fuk it and fried them off several times like this

@chevy23123 As far as the 2wd 4.8's thats what they come with. It was pretty good on gas. I saw 18mpg with interstate driving mostly in hilly areas cruising 75-80mph.

I dont have the truck anymore as it was sold earlier this year.

@bosco2023 I could be wrong but i was noticing that the 4.8s usually came with the 3.73 gear ratio. they do put the 3.42s in them but it is harder for that motor with that gear ratio. i have the 3.42 gears in my 05 5.3 short wide and i get 21-22 mpg running 80 mph in hilly areas.

Hey bosco2023, iv got an 03 4.8 silverado and iv got a "one tire fire" un like you :/ i know i can put a limited slip diff on it but its like 500 bucks.... know of any other ways to fix my problem? Cheaper ways lol

@jbalboa09 You should already have the factory limited slip unit. If the rear end fluid was changed, make sure it has the factory friction modifiers are in there or the unit will not operate properly. Check at the dealership or your local parts store for the additive.

@bosco2023 nah man mine has the one tire fire 2.... the locker was an option... not on all of um.. check your rpo codes in the glove box... shoud be a g followed by a number... the only g i have is the gu2... which is the 3.42 ration... the locking diff rpo should be something like g80

First off, I traded the truck in a week after this video, that was the pupose of the vid. Second, I got the tires at my buddies dealership as they also came in on a trade in and they couldnt sell them to the public. And third, they truck was stock so therefore, is wasnt quick. Quick and fast are to seperate characteristics. I only bought the truck in 05 to pull my car trailer for my swapped mirage and my tubbed chevy pick up.
