There is no comparison. Both the Queen and the King hold a crown, don't they? The King sang in his voice, and the Queen in their own. To compare these two souveraigns of rock music is absurd. The Queen have been great in their time, and the fact that they sang a cover from Elvis is clear proof there can be no fight between the two. If I were going to choose who I like better as rock and roll artist. I would pick Queen over Elvis. But in actuality, you cannot compare the two because Elvis and other people such as the Beatles paved the way for groups like Queen. So even though you may think later groups sound better than the previous, you have to acknowlege that those earlier musicians most of the time influenced the newer musicians. So Elvis in reality tops queen because of him being one of the originals or elders.
The thing is, Elvis had sex appeal that helped his career. But to say witch one is better is hard. Elvis forever changed Rock, and other versions of music like southern gospel. Elvis is a legend, and you can't take that away from him. But on the other hand, Freddie was a legend of his own with his songs, with harmony. Both are legends in different fields. hard to compare.

pls do a favor to everyone...STOP comparing. Music it's art and its made by artists that are all different from each others. Just take a look at the interpretation,the voice,the playing...etc. This is a great tune,no doubt about it. Elvis was and still is a legend like Freddie and Queen. This version was played in a fantastic way with a lot of sentiment and passion.....

@GoodGuitarSolos elvis's music was a watered down version of black music. Besides, elvis was only a good performer and he got stucked at some point. Freddie kept growing as an artist till the end.

@GoodGuitarSolos AAAAAAAHHAHAHAHA yes they were but the difference is that Freddie and Queen had talent and creativity, Elvis was a backstreet boy, a manufactured Show, no different than Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus. Influential yes, but nothing like what Queen had. If someone was to compare it would be more appropriate to compare perhaps Buddy Holly and Queen.

@jamesbond1231 I know that Elvis used hits written specially for him but that doesn't make him like Miley Curys. Songwriting-wise he was nothing special but performance-wise he was an unique performer. And calling him "backstreet boy" is actually not a bad thing because even though the group made manufactured teenage-pop, they were skilled with their vocal harmonies, and we are talking about singing here. Queen are a band, Elvis was a performer. Both were legends, period.

There is no comparison. Both the Queen and the King hold a crown, don't they? The King sang in his voice, and the Queen in their own. To compare these two souveraigns of rock music is absurd. The Queen have been great in their time, and the fact that they sang a cover from Elvis is clear proof there can be no fight between the two. If I were going to choose who I like better as rock and roll artist. I would pick Queen over Elvis. But in actuality, you cannot compare the two because Elvis and other people such as the Beatles paved the way for groups like Queen. So even though you may think later groups sound better than the previous, you have to acknowlege that those earlier musicians most of the time influenced the newer musicians. So Elvis in reality tops queen because of him being one of the originals or elders.

The thing is, Elvis had sex appeal that helped his career. But to say witch one is better is hard. Elvis forever changed Rock, and other versions of music like southern gospel. Elvis is a legend, and you can't take that away from him. But on the other hand, Freddie was a legend of his own with his songs, with harmony. Both are legends in different fields. hard to compare.
