I have no intention of playing it through, but the story I have just been shown is insane. I wish this sort of game could be made into a legitimate movie. thanks for uploading this. my game kept crashing right when i entered the torpedo before you go back the 10 years. and i really cant play a game again just to see the last minutes. this saved me a lot of frustration and anger
I used to be a green detective that would shoot a suspect while he was running away without thinking about his circumstances, then I took a Temsic fragment to the knee.
They should create a sequel. There's a few loose ends that could be knotted up, like who was the actual criminal in the incident that Yomiel got dragged into, and what the 'new' deal is.
The park was the last place where Yomiel was alive.
You guys must be wondering...... What about the guy on the van that crashed through the restaurant?
Well, I guess that when you posses the guy on the van, since he died on the van, no matter where the van goes, since the location of the dead body was the van, it would explain why Sissel was able to begin in the park instead of the restaurant
As for Lynne in the junkyard, maybe the fall sealed the deal
@MrShadic3000 because she would have spent 10 years burdened with dealing her own death and coming back to life at a time when she probably doesn't even know what death is. People Sissel goes back in time to save keep the memory of their death. The ending is to be the most humane outcome, and I didn't like turning back the entire game at first but I honestly grew to love it.
The ending, so many flaws, if people haven't realized, only 3 people knew Sissel was actually a cat, so its impossible for Lynne to know Sissel was a cat, the line " so we meet again " is false.
Second, if every character remember what had happen in the past, pretty sure Lynne and Kamila would know each other without the introduction

@kronoxxx Well, you have to admit, fleeing from interrogation and taking a hostage, even if you end up releasing them and/or saving their life, are still crimes. He got the ten years for that, apparently; NOT what they suspected him for.
also am I the only one that starts wanting to cry when young Lynne finds Sissel's limp body? I mean, think about it: you save Yomiel...but what's the cost?

Tho' I have to be honest I... Figured out Sissel was the cat when the whole "manipulator" chapter played. The only thing it didn't make sense to me was that in the beginning RAY/Missile was possessing the desklamp, but still he didn't have a soul on the core.
That was a major bummer to me 'cause i couldn't explain some of the things eventually happened. GREAT GAME
Well maybe HE DID have a soul on the core, but as he said, time made his powers grow weak so maybe, the flame of his soul was very small and weak almost extinct (after all, missile's soul had like 10 (1st time) + 10 (2nd time) = 20 years old..... that's a lot in dog years)
Holy fucking shit. You ever see one of those gifs that show someone eating popcorn while watching something intently in anticipation? This game is basically that gif in terms of story.
one of the best games i have ever played. gameplay is unique and the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. there shouldnt be a sequel because the story in this game ended how it should, with closure. although a spin-off would be nice, but it would be hard to create another story.

So Ray was telling the story of how he got the ghost trick powers. But, Why did Yomiel get in the apartment with the blue sniper guy? I see no reason for him to go in there and they didn't explain in the game why he went in there. Does anybody know?
@SagaDalton Yomiel when there to get the gun that is in the wooden box. Since he want to get rid of it so no one can link him to the crime of killing kamila's mother.
I think that he got into the apartment in order to look for the music box. His ghost powers would facilitate that task since the music box the only evidence of the case and it probably would have been hidden where no ordinary person could find it
I just want to interject that the crystal seems to have pierced Yomiel through the buttcheek. That's not exactly a fatal wound, is it? I could be wrong.
Oh snap, at the end, it's completely open for a sequel. The cat is immortal and can 'manipulate' objects too. The ending proved it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was thoughts of sequel material :>
I have been reading several topics now started by people who disliked the ending of Ghost Trick and the revelation, coming up with their own conclusion ideas that are sometimes way more convoluted.
How come so much dislike? Personally I felt the ending is fine as it is, its suppose to be sort of a Manga/Anime type story in which strange and sometimes bittersweet endings are allowed.
I myself was hoping for a darker ending, not the happy and charming 'Let's save everyone! And they'll all forget about it!" of this one. If it was me, I would have had Sissel dissapear in the end after making some major change, but maybe still have Yomiel have the same fate as before. And the whole 'I'm still alive! But unconcious' bit was crap. He got STABBED THROUGH THE CHEST!
Something confuses me, the Radiation was with Sissel, that would sugest the the Temsik is in Sissel, but didn't it hit Jowd? (Or as i like to say, "Ghost trick Gumshoe")
@98yoshi98 When Missile changed the course of the fragment of Temsik, the fragment "pierced through" Jowd's leg. Then he was found nearby the bushes where the line of the Temsik path was. So it is clear that the Temsik actually struck Sissel, however it wasn't too critical as he survived it. Also with it's radiation he was also regenerated by it. Hope that answered your question (even though it's like 3 months you asked this..)
I liked this ending. The last 'Fate Averted' was a big fat FUCK YOU to the blue skinned guys and their country while simultaneously becoming a redemption of sorts for Yomiel who was consumed by the suffering he endured for his past 10 years. It also averted the fate of Sissel. A lonely stray cat. Happiness for all even for Yomiel whos fiancee doesn't commit suicide after his death and waits 10 years for him to complete his sentence.
This is one of the best DS games out there, no, one of the best games out there. Game Informer has no idea what they're talking about 6/10...this game shouldn't get anything below a 9.5! "Dawww but when you die you have to start from duh beginning, I wanna checkpoint!" Deal with it! You get to see the beautiful animation and writing again!

@truechiz75 I thought he was the cat or the lamp(himself in another time), since they show them both in the beginning and left them unused for the entire game. But never in my craziest dreams I would had thought it was missile, I was staring at the screen for a whole minute and then I said to my self "....wat taa twist" (with that exact spelling).
Sissel being a cat explains a few things. Why he could never remember anything or why he couldn't read back at the police. But question, did the fragment that passed through Jowd's leg hit the kitty Sissel?

This was a really awesome game. I'd definitely buy it if watching this hadn't spoiled the entire storyline and gameplay for me, but if they ever make any more games like this then (like @Miyoangel13 suggested)...
It's stories like these that always makes me wonder about crossovers. I guess it's because of the variety of personalities and societies that meet each other. It just gives me that hope that life really is a huge variety.
So why did the camera that detective cabanella show to the chief of police have a cat coming out of the pouch? Wasn't the cat dead, or did they see a ghost?
These days even award-winning stories, be they in games or films or books, have some pretty sloppy endings simply because the careless writers decided to open an arc without bothering to come up with a satisfactory conclusion, and so they think the best solution is to abandon it and hope we don't notice. What a relief it then is to have Ghost Trick, one of the few stories that has a 110% satisfactory ending with NOTHING LEFT UNRESOLVED AND NO LOOSE ENDS UNTIED WHATSOEVER!
Hey-ey-ey I just realised something, Sissel in the new present is in Yomiel's phase: he's between the phase of living and dying. Doesn't that effect on his mind in any way? It did effect on Yomiel, but then again Sissel is cat, not human. And also, Sissel will "live" forever unless he removes the fragment of Temsik from his body. I bet he will try to do that at some point, because "living" for eternity might become tormenting after a while.

People here have no faith in Shu Takumi... If he was able to make sequels for the Ace Attorney series, I have complete faith that he can make sequels for Ghost Trick... But for the life of me, I can't even imagine how he can do it...
@RichardHannay I don't think the have to. After all, would you make a sequal to Casablanca or some other classic old movie. Sometimes a piece of original media (game, novel, film etc.) it good alone. Although I would like to see how they could make a sequel to Ghost Trick.
i Always thought that "Ray" was the mother of Kamila but as ive been watching this that obviously makes no sense as she was near no source of "Radiation". I love it when a story sticks to its roots.
But why is the mom alive all of a sudden, thats the real mystery.
@DNAdrianMorris When they changed the past meteor event, Yomiel was sent to jail instead of being killed outright by Temsik- he then couldn't change the course of Kamila's device, and also essentially had no motive to do so - hence, the device worked as it was intended and basically ensured that her mother was celebrating her birthday instead of her own funeral...

You know I have played many games but i must say this is one of the first in a long time that have made me accually tear up I mean to me this game was good very good. The gameplay itself may not have won me over although it was very creative to me at least but the story and how the pulled it all together in the end I got to give props to this game I really do.
this game does not need a sequel. the game finished with a closed ending. but they should make a spin off of it with new characters using ghost trick gameplay

@Miyoangel13 The game ended pretty perfectly, but actually because of where the meteor ended up they did leave it open for a sequel. Not at all to say the game needs or should or will have one, but let's face it, Lynne's gonna die several more times as a detective anyway. :P Sissel to the rescue. XD
There's bound to be a sequel, it'll just have Sissel meeting new people and having a new owner when the others pass away. But wouldn't it mean that he'd be dead by then too? Nope, since he has the Temsik fragment, he's now immortal, not to mention that he can still use his ghost tricks to save more new people.
Guess this means that Sissel wound killed by the Temsik. It passed through Jowd's leg completely and hit Sissel. So in the end the cat got Yomiel's original fate, to be a semi-immortal being.

I just want to interject that the crystal seems to have pierced Yomiel through the buttcheek. That's not exactly a fatal wound, is it? I could be wrong.

Oh snap, at the end, it's completely open for a sequel. The cat is immortal and can 'manipulate' objects too. The ending proved it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was thoughts of sequel material :>

I have been reading several topics now started by people who disliked the ending of Ghost Trick and the revelation, coming up with their own conclusion ideas that are sometimes way more convoluted.
How come so much dislike? Personally I felt the ending is fine as it is, its suppose to be sort of a Manga/Anime type story in which strange and sometimes bittersweet endings are allowed.

I myself was hoping for a darker ending, not the happy and charming 'Let's save everyone! And they'll all forget about it!" of this one. If it was me, I would have had Sissel dissapear in the end after making some major change, but maybe still have Yomiel have the same fate as before. And the whole 'I'm still alive! But unconcious' bit was crap. He got STABBED THROUGH THE CHEST!

Something confuses me, the Radiation was with Sissel, that would sugest the the Temsik is in Sissel, but didn't it hit Jowd? (Or as i like to say, "Ghost trick Gumshoe")

@98yoshi98 When Missile changed the course of the fragment of Temsik, the fragment "pierced through" Jowd's leg. Then he was found nearby the bushes where the line of the Temsik path was. So it is clear that the Temsik actually struck Sissel, however it wasn't too critical as he survived it. Also with it's radiation he was also regenerated by it. Hope that answered your question (even though it's like 3 months you asked this..)

I liked this ending. The last 'Fate Averted' was a big fat FUCK YOU to the blue skinned guys and their country while simultaneously becoming a redemption of sorts for Yomiel who was consumed by the suffering he endured for his past 10 years. It also averted the fate of Sissel. A lonely stray cat. Happiness for all even for Yomiel whos fiancee doesn't commit suicide after his death and waits 10 years for him to complete his sentence.

This is one of the best DS games out there, no, one of the best games out there. Game Informer has no idea what they're talking about 6/10...this game shouldn't get anything below a 9.5! "Dawww but when you die you have to start from duh beginning, I wanna checkpoint!" Deal with it! You get to see the beautiful animation and writing again!

I think I've never been so sad when a game I was playing came to an end. I... I don't really know... maybe it was because in this case there was a damned closed ending.
I really loved this game. And, I really loved this ending, even though I was like 'What the f*ck is going on?!' when I discovered Sissel's true form.
And I almost cried when, at the end, Yomiel said: "Thank you, Sissel." Aw, he does have such a caring girlfriend~~~

There is actually no game I want a sequel to less than Ghost Trick! I loved the game a lot, but the ending was so perfect, not leaving a single question unanswered or a single loose end untied! It's a true definition of closure! There's not even room for a sequel with a new cast, coz now that we know the truth about these ghost powers it would just be...dead!

Well of course I never played this game! That's what I was watching this walkthrough for! It's just that the ending made me so angry. I was so eager and excited to see how it came out, only to see that it all ends up never happening! I mean, what was the point going through all that trouble if it ends up never happening? Now, you probably think the ending's great, and that it's just my opinion that I hate it. And you're right, it is just my opinion. But I'd rather see a better ending of this.

But never in my craziest dreams I would had thought it was missile, I was staring at the screen for a whole minute and then I said to my self "....wat taa twist" (with that exact spelling).

These days even award-winning stories, be they in games or films or books, have some pretty sloppy endings simply because the careless writers decided to open an arc without bothering to come up with a satisfactory conclusion, and so they think the best solution is to abandon it and hope we don't notice. What a relief it then is to have Ghost Trick, one of the few stories that has a 110% satisfactory ending with NOTHING LEFT UNRESOLVED AND NO LOOSE ENDS UNTIED WHATSOEVER!

Hey-ey-ey I just realised something, Sissel in the new present is in Yomiel's phase: he's between the phase of living and dying. Doesn't that effect on his mind in any way? It did effect on Yomiel, but then again Sissel is cat, not human. And also, Sissel will "live" forever unless he removes the fragment of Temsik from his body. I bet he will try to do that at some point, because "living" for eternity might become tormenting after a while.

i Always thought that "Ray" was the mother of Kamila but as ive been watching this that obviously makes no sense as she was near no source of "Radiation". I love it when a story sticks to its roots.
But why is the mom alive all of a sudden, thats the real mystery.

@DNAdrianMorris When they changed the past meteor event, Yomiel was sent to jail instead of being killed outright by Temsik- he then couldn't change the course of Kamila's device, and also essentially had no motive to do so - hence, the device worked as it was intended and basically ensured that her mother was celebrating her birthday instead of her own funeral...

You know I have played many games but i must say this is one of the first in a long time that have made me accually tear up I mean to me this game was good very good. The gameplay itself may not have won me over although it was very creative to me at least but the story and how the pulled it all together in the end I got to give props to this game I really do.

Not at all to say the game needs or should or will have one, but let's face it, Lynne's gonna die several more times as a detective anyway. :P Sissel to the rescue. XD

There's bound to be a sequel, it'll just have Sissel meeting new people and having a new owner when the others pass away. But wouldn't it mean that he'd be dead by then too? Nope, since he has the Temsik fragment, he's now immortal, not to mention that he can still use his ghost tricks to save more new people.

Guess this means that Sissel wound killed by the Temsik. It passed through Jowd's leg completely and hit Sissel. So in the end the cat got Yomiel's original fate, to be a semi-immortal being.
