  • When you say wrap the wool round the needle when doing short rows for heal do you actuall wrap it right round or just lay it over the needle that didn't knit???

  • @Alfa12321 - I lay the yarn over the needle that didn't knit. However, I have also tested the method of wrapping the yarn around the needle - it turns out that it is more effort, but does not give a better result, so just lay the yarn in the hook of the needle that didn't knit. After you wrap, make sure you don't leave slack in the yarn between the needles and the locks. Good luck! ;)

  • i make socks on my passap e6000, good fun

  • Are you moving the edge springs to sit on the outside working needles or do they stay all the way on the outside 2 of the 24 needles? It looks to me like you're moving them as you short-row.

    Peace,

    Aaron

  • Hi Aaron,

No, I'm not moving the edge springs in as I short row - they remain on the outside 2 n's of the 24 n's. It might look like I am moving them in the beginnig, but I am just moving them aside to wrap those first couple needles, then returning them. You actually don't even have to move them to wrap the first 2 n's if you're careful.

    Hope this clarifies it. :)
