as someone who has worked for talk talk and bt. i say talk talk, the speed of the internet really depends on the distance of your house to the exchange.
just because BT has been around for longer, does not mean anything.
talk talk has been voted NO 1 for customer care by Uswitch
and best value for money by home phone plans 5 times running.
and thats out of all telephone and broadband providers.
TalkTalk used to be crap but their making great improvements. They are unbundling telephone exchanges to enable you to get up to 24Mbits broadband, and if you go to talktalkmembers dotcom you can ask them to optimise your b-RAS profile for best speed. I had that done today and my speed has shot up to full 8Mbps! No joke, just try it ;)
