  • Everyone rips on Green Day, I am not saying they are good Green Day but Christ Thanks Strokes I acidently clicked on some White Stripes songs and let's say for their music I rather have my computer reimaged.

  • love his voice XD

  • I have fallen in love with this song and this band :).

  • This song resonates with my past. Such a good one.

  • @gotballz07 me too I miss the days of smokin some bliggity bluntts with my boy julian summer 2004 man never forget

  • ay julian si yo pudiera y tu te dejaras :$

  • This song is GORGEOUS!!!! And yeah... the strokes are too. Like it or not.

  • All 4 of their albums were amazing, each in a different way. Each of them was perfect.

  • I so wished that when i was in LA they had of been playing.. I thought about it when I looked across the road from The Comedy Store... I was looking for any fake name they would go under...

  • I don't know why but this song just makes me break down and cry <3

  • Not a huge strokes fan, but I just discovered this song and can't stop playing it. Even the lyrics are great!

  • @Judter10 You discovered why I am a Strokes fan.

  • the most underrated strokes song. this is one to remember.

  • @rubyhaleybenjamin FUCK YESH. Julian wouldn't have to lie to get to my apartment<3

  • The Strokes could not continue to keep doing the same thing over and over. Yes First Impressions and Angles were different, but that doesn't mean they weren't just as good. The fact that they take a bit longer to digest means their flavor takes longer to get too much of.

  • puta que sexy

  • angles was a let down

  • julian, you are the coolest guy ever.

  • @Wisconsin222 excellent choices. The Strokes are most definatly the Best band...not just of the decade, in my world they are the best band ever.

  • Okay I'll give you that. I guess same here, but I know some Troll will say Zepplin or the Beatles or Christ You always have that Kurt Cobain shit. See I do think The Strokes are the best.

  • @Wisconsin222 In fact Zepplin, Beatles, Cobain all rolled into one.

  • breathtaking

  • babby making music

  • H about 8

  • IF you can't hear reggae in this then you should listen a bit harder. Awesome song

  • @E3tiger

Sounds more like a cross between 60s Motown and New Wave to me. Listen to Smokey Robinson - Tracks of my Tears, then this, they have a similar melody.

  • they totally rock man!

  • i hear people yelling for new york city cops at the beginning :')

  • 4th album will never measure up :(

just Machu Picchu, Under Cover of Darkness, Life is Simple in the Moonlight...that`s pretty much it..some might say a few songs is good enough...but its not because I like every Strokes song in existence..EVERY song on the 3 albums, b-sides, whatever.. ;__; I had high expectations..

  • @boredomisnevergood seeing them live at madison square garden in nyc a week ago completely changed my view on their new album....as in i fucking love it more than i did before...plus they're writing a new one already

  • Winning Anyone?

  • how can a band be so fucking full of win?

  • :(

they were so much better before they got sober

  • This song is the panty dropper...

  • Fabrizio smoking a cig on the drums...

fucking great It's hard to explain how much I love this band.

  • @ThinCrustPizza67 was that supposed to be a play on words? haha

  • Fab smokin the cig iz the shizzzzz!!!

  • their so amazing live!! this is one of the manyyy reasons i love the strokes <3

  • Nahhh, It's all about I Can't Win. man haha, this one is a close second though.

  • for me this is their best song just after ize of the world....eventhough all their songs are the best heaven has shit for human living

  • Green Day? Fuck that, this guys have soul

  • @TiSalvatore Let's compare Room On Fire vs American Idiot too, since they were released about a year apart from each other and we find, American Idiot to be more influential at its time, but as history goes on Room On Fire becomes more influential. Okay top 3 greatest songs on American Idiot, American Idiot, American Idiot, Blvd of Broken Dreams, and Wake Me Up When September Ends. Now for Room On Fire: 1.) Whatever Happened 2.) Reptilia 3.) The End Has No End. Room Fire-Winner Am.Idiot-Loser!!!

  • @Wisconsin222 Both of those albums aged really badly LOL

  • @the1984olympics Nope Room On Fire was amazing.

  • @Wisconsin222 It has like three good songs and I just smoked some off dat sweet ass green green grass so I think I'd know plus I go to college

  • @the1984olympics I go to college too there.

  • what a fucking heaven sent song, man!

  • @TiSalvatore more like Motown sent! great song tho, should have been a single

  • @longview1987 nah Meet me in the bathroom and Between love and hate should have been though

  • March 11th i cant wait

  • @MinatoUzumak1 is that seriously the date!? please link wherever u got that from for me

  • @PyroMaster320 wikipedia

  • Fab couldn't put his cig. down for the song...haha...awesome!

  • this song will move people for as long as earth is habitable.

  • i love this song with a strong passion

  • I cant stop "liking" this song

  • When does their fourth album come out?

  • @bandnerds2014 around january - March

  • i want to dance with someone to this song...

  • fuck this song is sexy.

  • Julian may give it to me any way he wants.

  • Whoever thinks First Impressions of Earth is their best is retarded. Or at least deaf.

  • @CheckVerb LOL, this is what I tried telling some people, but I somehow came out wrong, it is the most obvious decision to make in the World.

  • @CheckVerb Everyone knows the other 2 are better. DUH!

  • jules your not wasting my time

cuz i listen to this song everyday :)

  • i have to listen to that song with weights round my ankles,

othewise ill just float off to heaven!

    cheeeeeeeeeeeeese lol :D

  • my favorite song. possibly ever.

  • Lol he makes smoking look dope.

  • best song ever

  • thumbs up if the strokes are the best band in the whole world

  • @briangotbrains If it weren't for Pavement, I might say that :D.

  • That's a nice live !

  • beginning fucking funny

  • such a fine song damn

  • Julian is so sexy, it brings tears to my eyes!

The way he says "for now, for now, for now..." at the end of the song is just perfection!

  • Casablancas = most beautiful man ever

  • holy fucking shit

  • This is my favorite song by the strokes it makes me feel under control :)

  • I love how Moretti has cigg while he's playing thats so G !

  • This is a classic that is going to endure for decades. And if it doesn't, fuck society, because it should. A classic if I ever heard one, I tell you...

  • alte gefühle für diese band kommen in mir hoch wenn ich diesen song höre und das atmen fällt ganz schwer

  • 1. Room On Fire

    .

    2. Is This It

    .

    .

    3. First Impressions of Earth

    All such great albums.

  • if you are talking chronological order, I think you mixed up the first and the second?

  • is this it

  • i love Julian.

  • Why couldnt you hear alberts guitar during the solo?

  • lol i dont think its on purpose yo technical error

  • The three albums are great!! so great that I can't decide which one is better...

  • first impressions... for me at the moment

  • is this it

  • @dital123 That's quite retarded of you, I agree that all of the albums are brilliant. But it's kinda obvious "Is This It" is the greatest one by a mile

  • @DeadPixel00 That's just like... your opinion... I think the three albums are great but my favorite is "First Impression Of Earth" and you are the only retarded, everyone has a different opinion.

  • @dital123 Dude, seriously listen to "Is This It" more thoroughly bro, sorry for calling you retarded, I do not intend to offend anybody. As "Is This It" is seen as the best album of the decade, voted by Rolling Stones and NME, it rather strange of you to think that the commerically weakest album is your favourite of the 3.

  • @DeadPixel00 Hmm you're right about "Is This It" is the best album of the decade and I love it but "First Impression of Earth" is great too... so I just can't decide, I like both equally.

  • @DeadPixel00 it was a quite retarded comment from you because music taste is SUBJECTIVE, its great that those magazines put "Is This It" as the best album of the decade but just cuz they said that doesnt mean that everybody should think that way....I think I prefer Room On Fire

  • @dreamfuelz I agree with what you say, but don't use the word "retarded", there is no need for foul language.

  • @DeadPixel00

stop being retarded he didn't say anything wrong.

    i will though

shit piss fuck cunt cocksucker mother fucker tits fart turd and twat.

now on the subject, is this it creates such an air of mystery, and almost sexiness in a way. its hard to explain. it's just so great.

  • @dital123 its between room on fire and is this it.

  • @dital123 I can decide. Is This It is better.

  • @dital123 i think Room on Fire is their best album, i can't wait for their new one!! XD

  • @dital123 room on fire has somthing about it for me but i do agree id hate to pick one over the other cause different songs..different vibes..different moods..all their albums match any mood your in

  • @dital123 - it's going to be a lot more harder to decide once their new album drops!

  • @dital123 Except Is This It is by FAR the best. Most fresh music i've ever heard. Every track is a classic. The most recent album to me was pretty lame

  • @jeffreybiderpdee Well we haven't heard the entire album yet... but Machu Picchu, Taken for a fool and Under cover of darkness are great! I don't think this album is going to be better than others though...

  • @dital123 Four Great Albums :DD

  • @TheChicanodude Haha yeah, let me say it again. The 4 album are great! so great that I can't decide which one is better... :D

  • @dital123 The first 2 are really good, Angles is pretty crazy, but awesome.

  • @PauloCesarRojas the 4 of them are awesome

  • @dital123 Album 4 is nothing to sneeze at eather :)

  • @dital123 room on fire for me. hahaha and first impressions is a really good

  • I bet he's high

  • ROF is better than IS THIS IT to me.

  • IS THIS IT, was a better, because you could feel the hardwork that was put init, and plus its what set them on the map, but Room on fire, is what set them a ICON.........So either way, there both good

  • I nearly agree!

  • room on fire.. five star album...is this it five star album..first impressions of eart five star album..people will always go back to the first simply cause that introduced us to the legnends that are the strokes..you can knock on modern age on a good day an switch to heart in a cage when your goin out..each album is unreal..ust be grateful for each song...and arctic monkeys are my fav band just cause they introduced me to indie..but ya can clearly see i fukn love the strokes..an early KOL

  • Come on , the three are amazing ...

  • room on fire is the best albulm to mee!!

  • no no noo.. Is this it is the best album of them... and best album eveerr.. and who ever says that it isn't the best, she/he obviously didn't heard it

  • lost my room on fire-.-(under mountains of crap )

    wanna hear that with repeat..

  • I fucking love them.

  • Under Control is one of the prettiest, most chill songs I have ever heard.

  • this is, and always will be the greatest strokes song ever made. forget that phrazes bullshit and first impressions. the first 2 albums were something that nobody can even attempt to reproduce

  • hell yeah

  • everything is good, not just the first two

  • People who appreciate music know that First Impressions was the best of the three.

  • the best album of the strokes is room on fire.

  • LOL are you kidding? First impressions the best of the three? I'm hoping your trolling me

  • That's just the kind of uneducated response I would expect from someone of that opinion.

  • gee it sure is pretentious in here

  • i wouldnt call it an attrocity. different yea. Not as good as is this it and room on fire? Sure. those were 5 star albums and FIOE is more of like a 4

  • true

  • you areee youuunnnggg darlin'

  • yeah i noticed that too...probably because its easier

  • Julian, Nick, and Fab have said numerous times Bob Marley is one of their favourite artists, especially Julian. This is reggae inspired, if you can't see that your just an ignorant fuck..

  • this is not reggae-inspired.

Sounds more like they're taking a 60s-soul influence.

  • could you explain to me how this is reggae inspired? (the fact that bob marley is their favorite artist is not an answer) this sounds nothing like reggae to me and I am a huge reggae fan.

  • they are def not reggae

  • chilly chilly

  • The Strokes are NOT reggae, nor is this song

  • COME TO HOUSTON!!!!

  • <3 chill on my bones

  • you like, can't hear nik

  • you mean you can't hear albert.

  • actually he was infuluenced by bob marley. In some of their songs you can hear hints of some form of a reagge. Also like in his collaberation "little girl" with sparklehorse and danger mouse it almost have a flair of hip-hop. I always thought it was great how he can bring in different elements of music and make it a great rock song. He also composed a classic peice and got a scholorship to a school for it.

  • I'm agree with you. This rock song has reagge feeling

  • Man speaks the truth.

  • i think you are actually high

  • thats awesome. i hope i go to one of the concerts one day

  • i was at this show!! :D right in the front!! I heart the strokes!!

  • i always thought that the beginning of this video reminds me of that one jim morrison video

  • Ha! Fab thinks hes really cool because hes smoking whilst playing! Strokes are awesome

  • I'd think I was pretty cool if I was the drummer of The Strokes too. Cigarette or not LOL

  • i love the guitar part combined with julian's vocal melody. classic strokes.

anyone tried playing this guitar part? it sounds easy, but it's pretty difficult.

  • Nah its easy :)

  • one great song more of the strokes

  • FUCKING LOVE THE STROKES!!!! : D

  • I love it, you can see that this song is influenced by reagge, I guess Julian really ikes Bob Marley:)

  • how is this song influenced by reggae?(which you spelled completely wrong)

  • i know yeah how is it like reggae at all

  • i guess if you listen to the chords that albert is playing, they're reminiscent to reggae. and also julian said in an interview that he only had about four cd's as a kid, 3 of them being bob marley

  • yeah this doesn't sound anything like reggae

  • your wrong bro.

watch interviews. he was very influenced by bob marley. he had 3 records when he was younger, and one of them was bob marley and he listened to it all the time.

  • i´m dying

  • ONE OF MY FAV SONGS FROM THEM
