i just got a turtle a few days ago. im feeding him reptomin (floating food sticks) and reptotreat (100% natural shrimp) he has a filter heater and a floating island. i also got thermometer and tidy turtle water cleaner. am i missing anything? his filter is big shaped like a rock that he climbs on. i want to keep him healthy and happy. and he seems to be. any advice?
thanks for the tips :) this is my 1st pet turtle, but i am good with pets i have two cats two birds and a dog. all happy and healthy and im going to take care of this baby turtle just as well as i do the rest of my pets. i appreciate your advice and feed back. thanks for being kind :) oh yes and i got my lamp and bulb for tolbert the turtle!
u should feed him mainly freshwater fish, it should be the basis of his diet. Possibly live ones.. it helps him develop or mantain his hunting istinct, in case one day u'd want to release him in the wild.
Man, you could sit and watch that for hours!

you also need a basking lamp as well as a UVB light.

is that all for your one RES? how big is she anyways?
