@SpidermansSymbiote ribbons are earned by the wearer. each ribbon has a reason for being worn... if you want to know more, google us navy ribbons and medals.
@naizret That's part of learning. Richard Simmons style teaching does not work for the military unless you're in the now increasingly easier Army maybe. Of course, everyone and their grandma can understand normal instructions. If you can understand when they're being yelled at then it improves their endurance of stress. Besides, I've had worse under my dad. I'm more scared of my own dad than even the meanest Marine drill instructor. These midshipmen aren't scary.
@asianwannabeamerican For you, perhaps. I was a naval officer once upon a time and found the chickenshit aspects of military training/protocol both foolish, counterproductive, and tedious. These midshipmen aren't scary; they're obnoxious. I had no trouble retaining what I had learned, took orders on shipboard without the skipper screaming in my face, and successfully commanded a fair number of (astonishingly stupid) enlisted men.
@naizret What if you're an aspiring Marine? No discredit to the Navy but even if the Marines won't yell at you always, they still will be doing a lot more yelling than the Navy and doing it in a much more forceful yet effective way than these kids pretending to be hardasses. Where and when did you serve? How were you commissioned by the way?

@AvieLovesU They are called "Midshipmen," not cadets. Cadets are for Army and Air Force Academies and ROTC
