  • In 84 I rode my bicycle with Mark across US, Mexico & Canada & back to US. Today I am thinking in doing it again. I am not a young man any more, but I still got it. I will intent to go over 6 continents, with may be ur little$ help!. I want to see the Misery of mankind in every continent & how man raped mother nature. So if you are interested.. drop your thoughts. Thank you..Juan

  • WOW!!! This was great, thank you for making and sharing this amazing video, You are very very brave!!!

  • This is a great way to see the city.

  • @panicing4patd

NYC is getting there...by leaps and bounds...but NYC drivers still treat bicyclists like crap..And so do the pedestrians. Note: I AM a pedestrian (and cyclist) and I see peds cross-walking 1000X more than the bicyclists who ignore traffic signs. So, peds, when are you willing to be ticketed for jay-walking?

I don't think this will happen, however, because, crossing "when you want" is too much of NYC culture.

  • @theraptorfan - the weird thing about this is that the US drives on the right, yet this track is on the left... It seems as if you could widen the existing track for 2 way running (or rather, riding) or build a similar lane on the other side of the road and reverse the direction of the existing bike path.

  • You know when you hit the touristy spots like Times Square when the tourists just stand in the middle and just stop and stare everywhere as oppose to moving asside for passerbys. lol

  • Too slow, just speed up

  • Those bike lanes are really cool, but it sucks that they are only one way. Is there a parallel avenue you can take if you want to go north?

They should remove another car lanes on the other side of Broadway so they can have bike lanes both ways. Who cars if it increases auto congestion a little? Those drivers will all get where they're going eventually.

  • Lmao @ 3:06 spongebob FTW! I Love NY

  • 0:38 idiot sticking leg out

  • @panicing4patd I went to texas, texas rocks!

  • Wow. It is great to watch how can be street rebuilded for pedestrians and cyclist! Great work. Thanks for sharing!

  • The music is Jungle Highway by Pat Kelley, according to the Statistics and Data for video.

  • What music is making this great ride even better to watch?

  • i'd rather ride in traffic. honestly. this seems like a nightmare with all those pedestrians and carts and such in the way.

  • 3:06! :)

  • awesome camera just ordered one...great videos

  • Coming from a San Franciscan, NYC's new streetscapes and out-of-the-box urban planning designs are blowing my mind. I couldn't have imagined such things. Please come do that here.

  • I just posted a video response to this of a better route. Let me know if it shows up.

  • i wish that times square section was as easy as this at rush hour. i lose about 15 minutes on my commute compared to the old 7th ave - bway route.

  • Here's a solution that might work for you : when you hit west 49th street, make a left. head down 7th avenue, merge left and make a left onto 42nd street and then get right back on the broadway bike lane. then you won't have to break 'the rules' (which require cyclists to walk their bikes in the times square pedestrian zones) as demonstrated in this video.

my commute only takes a 5 minute hit.
