  • This makes me so glad I live in 2011! xx

  • Holy shit she locks up the toys!??! Won't pick up a crying baby?! Worse Nanny Ever!!

  • Anyone remember, "Upstairs, Downstairs?" A tad like this but just one household.

  • @PoliticalPars Indeed, indeed! And the follow-up to UpDown has just been released a few days ago. I haven't seen it yet, but I've just finished re-watching UpDown from start to finish and fell in love with all the characters all over again - I had forgotten exactly *how* funny it was! ... or perhaps I was too young to appreciate how good it was when I first saw it years ago. This is kind of a 'poor man's' UpDown in a way, but excellent nonetheless.

  • @itsageoffrushthing Oh, I had no idea there was/is a follow up to Upstairs? Is it BBC? And, yes, indeed, it was delightfully funny.

  • @PoliticalPars Yes, indeed there is. It's getting mixed reviews. Google it. It aired on the BBC recently... not sure how many weeks it will be continuing for as I'm in Australia and we don't have the BBC per se... we do have UKTV though, so I'm sure we'll be getting it sometime soon. I hope so! Otherwise I will have to be content with the DVD.

  • That kid is creepy lookin, buggy little eyes!!!

  • i am loving this thank you so much.xxx

  • Just loved the startled look of the boy when nanny picked the baby up

  • "Mr. Keegan...I dislike bad behavior in children AND footmen..."

  • I never realised quite how children were treated in those days.

  • let's not forget we're talking about children of the privileged classes...other kids might have had much more freedom and joy

  • They only have vague references to the use of laudenum (opium) to treat medical complaints.

  • @jackie4964 Probably not. At this time, you were taken out of school at 12 or 14 and sent to the factory or farm to work for your living!!

  • Hi Great Lady, I am watching this for the second time, I just love it. Thank you so much for posting, especially when today's entertainment lacks manners, etc.

  • Nanny here, was Sandra in Eastenders, she was married to Beppe and they has son, whom she abandoned, then ran off with her husband's friend and tried to kidnap her child, it's so Odd to see her play the opposite role here.

  • that lady is so mean...!!!

  • You are so right...however...she's no lady. Now we know why her mother didn't pick her up when she was a baby...she's to damn mean and ugly on the inside.

  • Thanks for posting this!♡
