David was a lot more serious, and Matt is generally more silly and spastic, but I think it makes him more charming. It's so funny to watch him fidgeting around mumbling to himself then eventually figuring a way out of whatever situation he's in. Either way, David and Matt have my vote for the best doctors so far, I don't think I can pick one of them as "The Best".
matt smith is too 'funny' and never seems serious, it's kinda annoying. he also seems more immature and more alien, whilst tennant was very human; it depends if u like human more mature doctor or alien less mature doctor. plus smith looks a bit...meh ;) that's not why I like David better but has to be a small factor :P
@MusiicRoolz Interesting opinion. I think I agree with the "too funny". My favorite episodes with Smith are Vincent and the Doctor and Amy's choice, which are mostly emotional and the funny element is smaller. Anyway, thanks for commenting:)
I never liked Doctor Who originally, im a stargate man. but as stargate ran out resently i watch doctor who 2005-2010, and out of the 3 doctors so far it has to be Tennant, Eccleston, Smith. Eccelston was the only doctor i had seen before on rare viewings so he ranked as my favourite on that cause, but then as im sure NEARLY every fan agree's Tennant was and will always be the best.
Of course i dont include doctor pre-2005, havnt watch them all yet :D

I only started watching last year... Matt Smith was "my" first Doctor. Then the reruns started. It was hard to accept David Tennant.... but soon I did and I already miss him. Now I wonder what it'll be like when the new season starts up and Matt Smith is the main man. So confusing.
I really didn't care too much for Christopher Eccleston, he was a bit too surly for me.
David Tennant is my second favorite doctor.
I'm not sure why, but I get a feeling whenever I was MAtt Smith as the doctor.
The feeling makes me laugh with Matt's personallity, and makes me feel scared whenever he gets in trouble.
I dont know why, but Matt Smith will always be my favorite doctor.

I personally love Matt Smith.
My problem is I always get SO attached... when 4 regenerated, I thought I was going to DIE... when 5 regenerated I thought HE was going to die... ;)
When 9 regenerated I cheered, because I watched most of Ten(nant)'s era before seeing PoTW.
When 10 regenerated, I almost stopped watching.
And then Matt Smith became my second-favorite Doctor (because nobody's ever gonna top Davison) and I forgave Tennant for leaving.
